Egret’s Point on the Creek

Egrets Point on the Creek, is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and plan your Eastern Shore exploration. Whether you are enjoying the fire pit by the creek, or taking a nap in the hammocks, canoeing, walking, bike riding or exploring historic Onancock, life by the creek is sweet. Chincoteague to the north, Cape Charles to the south. Excitement abounds. Coastal exploration, boating, fishing, fine dining, artisan shops, art galleries, farmers markets and sandy beaches. Come and enjoy! The space The home is a traditional American style ranch duplex that was built in the mid-1950s. It has been majorly renovated in the last three years. The house was built on a hill side. You’ll be staying on the second floor, which is accessed from the street side, ground level, there are two steps to access the home. The house is decorated in the traditional Eastern Shore style with a focus on waterfowl and the waterfront way of Eastern Shore living. Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a new mattress and the decor in that room celebrates the wonderful Virginia song birds that abound on the property. The second bedroom has an incredibly comfortable double bed with brand new mattress, and is decorated in a coastal theme, acknowledging not only the beauty of a waterfronts, but the lineage of the waterman that have worked the waters for centuries to provide the wonderful seafood we enjoy. Both bedrooms have televisions. Living room: The living room and dining room are all in one great room. It has a large picture window with a picturesque view of the wheat fields. There is a 65 inch HD 4K television in this room for your viewing pleasure. Kitchen: The kitchen is a well appointed space that is intended to draw out the inner chef within you. It has been well equipped, and during your stay here you should be able to produce wonderful dining experiences for you and your family in our kitchen. Sunporch: The rear sunporch has been decorated in the theme of a local country market. Complete with a few goodies from our local country markets that if you desire you can purchase for the cost and enjoy some hometown goodness. Additionally, there’s a 55 inch television in this room, and it would be a wonderful place to spend your evenings. Screened Porch: Just off of the sunroom, there’s a screened in porch that overlooks the rear yard and the central branch of the Onancock Creek. From that elevated vantage point, you can see wonderful waterfowl,Virginia songbirds, and other wildlife that make their way to and from in our backyard. Backyard: As for the large open backyard(unfenced), you can enjoy sitting by the fire pit telling stories, napping in the hammocks or canoeing in the creek. Guest access You and your family will have full access to the entire home located upstairs, you have your own private entrance. There are two steps at the front of the house. Other things to note Additionally, we have bicycles, canoes, and a golf cart that we are willing to share with you to enhance your stay. We strive to maintain them at the highest level of service possible. However, with any mechanical thing there are times where there are breakdowns and repairs are needed. In addition their availability is weather and season dependent. We did not factor in the use of these items in the daily rate. You are not being charged for their use therefore, if they are unavailable, for some unforeseen reason, there would be no reason to request a refund or other form of monetary compensation.
