Little House on the River

You'll love this unique and romantic escape. Located at Rockwater Marina this 400 sqft home floats on the Arkansas River. Near your arrival you will drive through the beautiful community of Rockwater Villages. Go for a walk or ride your bike on the beautiful River Trails… enjoy the relaxing sunrise and sunsets from the front deck….sit back and enjoy the city skyline of downtown Little Rock at night…and be sure to use the binoculars to get a close up look at all the beautiful water fowl. The space Quick back story: We found this gem thanks to my Dad who has stumbled across it first. A Marina in Pine Bluff Arkansas that he use to take me to growing up had recently shut down and the new owners wanted everything cleared out—because of this we were able to snag this shabby floating home. In the fall of 2022 this floating house made a 40 + mile trek up stream on the Arkansas River where it found a new home at Rockwater Marina in North Little Rock Arkansas. One of my favorites moments was catching sight of it being tugged by two boats under the Broadway bridge. It was partially renovated when it made it up this way but the hard part was mapping out how to get all the main components—hvac, plumbing, and electrical up and running. Each phase came with its own complication but at last! We’ve made it to the finish line. ✨ The fun part about finishing up a project like this is the truly the fact that I have the privilege of sharing this experience with others by hosting on Airbnb. I’ve been a host for a few years now but I’ve come to realized how exhilarating it is not only to give guests a place to stay but to create spaces that they will have unforgettable memories in. Many of my core memories stem from the days I spent with my Dad fishing all day on the river. I hope this home serves as a core spot for many more to come. You can also walk around the marina but please be respectful of the boat owners and other tenants. :) Other things to note For liability reason the marina does not allow swimming or fishing on the premises.
