The Beach House, Turkey Point

Welcome to the Beach House!! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to this spectacular 4 season home in Turkey Point. Spend your day soaking up the sun on the beach or the deck and finish your night under the stars with smores by the fire. Come for a vacation or to work and to explore all that Norfolk county has to offer! This house is ideally located just steps from the beach and is across the street from the town grocery / liquor store and Kelly's Cove take out eatery! The space The Beach House Prepare to relax as soon as you step inside this open concept, 2 +1 bedroom, 2-bathroom 4-season home. Living/ Dining Area No matter the season, the open concept space is perfect for catching up with friends, enjoying family game night, curling up with a nice book or sitting by the indoor gas fireplace watching your favourite movie. We have several board games, puzzles, chess and cards available to our guests. Wifi Wifi access is available throughout the cottage. The wifi password will be provided at check-in. Television For those days you simply want to curl up and watch a show, the cottage has two televisions. One in the master bedroom, the other in the living room. Log in to your Netflix, Amazon or other account to access movies and shows. Remember to log out before you leave! Work area A designated office space exists within the master suite. in addition, the dining table offers a workspace that’s open and inviting. Kitchen The kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking implements and essentials: pots/pans, serving dishes, plates, bowls, cutlery, cups, drinking glasses and tea towels. For your cooking needs, we have a full-size induction stove/oven, slow-cooker, microwave. The kitchen also offers a large fridge, dishwasher, toaster, a combination coffee maker and hot water dispenser and for the coffee lovers, an espresso machine. Pre-ground coffee, tea and sugar is provided. For the chefs, a variety of spices, oils and vinegar are on hand for your cooking needs. Conveniently located opposite the house is the town grocery and liquor store. Pop over to pick up or restock those needed items! Cottage water is potable. Dishwasher detergent and washing up liquid is available to you. Master Suite Possibly our favourite spot in the entire home. Located on the top floor at the back of the house, this large room offers two skylight windows, a comfy queen-size bed, storage for personal items, a large ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom with shower. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, make-up mirror and a hair dryer are provided. Bath and hand towels are available upon request. This room also features its own double-sliding doors giving you access to your own private deck – the perfect place to relax, read a book and enjoy a beverage. The Loft Equipped with a queen bed (firm mattress), this space is perfect for company or to lose yourself in your favourite book. The space is close to the banister overlooking the open concept living and dining area. This space may not be suitable for unattended young children. The Guest Suite Located at the back of the house on the main floor, this room offers access to the wrap around deck, a comfy queen-size bed and large ceiling fan. Cheater ensuite access to the main floor bathroom is a plus. The main floor bathroom Equipped with a bath caddy, relax to music or your favourite show and a glass of wine in the oversized bathtub. Soak up the bubbles after a day at the beach. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer are provided. Bath and hand towels are available upon request. The bathroom also houses a laundry machine, dryer and clothes rack. Outdoors The outdoor living space is completed with a wrap around deck, BBQ, dining space and patio furniture. No matter the time of day, experience the sun on the deck while listening to the relaxing sounds of local birds. The backyard includes a fire pit and picnic bench. Some firewood is provided, but not guaranteed. Please bring your own firewood. There are several places close by to purchase this. During the summer months, the backyard houses an outdoor shower ideal to rinse off after your day on the beach. Beach towels are available upon request. The beach is moments, literally 30 seconds, from the cottage. Grab an umbrella, a beach chair and your towel and find the perfect spot to relax, play and swim. As needed, pop back to the cottage for a quick snack, break or beverage. Cottage water is portable. Parking The front of the property and extended driveway offers space for 4-6 parking spaces. Look for the red stones that cover the driveway. Please note: The Beach House uses a septic system for waste management. Guest access The entire cottage is for you during your stay. Nothing is shared with other guests/tenants/neighbours. Self check-in access on day of arrival. 24 hours prior to your arrival you will be given an access code for the front door. This code will be deactivated upon your departure. Other things to note This property uses a septic system for waste management. Only toilet paper and human waste is to be flushed down the toilet. A garbage container is provided for feminine hygiene products, wipes, etc. Please do not dispose of any non-biological items (including food waste, coffee grounds, fats and oil) down the sinks or toilet. The correct number of guests must be on the reservation. No additional guests are allowed on the property without written consent from the host or additional fees may apply. No smoking in the house. Smoking or vaping (including e-cigarettes) of tobacco or cannabis is not permitted. Thank you. The living room fireplace and BBQ both run on propane. A propane tank is provided for the BBQ. A propane tank (located at the back of the property) feeds the living room fireplace. All pets must be disclosed in the reservation. A pet fee of $100 will be charged at the time of registration. Additional fees may apply where a pet is not disclosed. Pets (dogs) must be leashed when outside the property. All pets must be dry prior to (re-)entering the house. Pets are not permitted on beds. The Beach House manual detailing everything you need to know about the home is available upon your arrival. The manual also includes information on local restaurants, gift shops, wineries/breweries, golf courses and excursions just a short drive away!
