Room 16 ~ The Washington Stateroom has two double beds and a full bathroom. This room is located up the northern staircase on the 2nd floor. The Washington Stateroom was named after George Washington. He stayed here when he was 16 years old while he was surveying the area with Lord Fairfax. George Washington was the very first president and one of the U.S. Presidents born in Virginia. Please note: The Wayside Inn does not have an elevator. Check-in begins at 3 pm, check-out time is at 11 am. The space The rooms of the Inn are decorated in 19th-century antiques, giving the warm look of days gone by. Each bedroom is different from the next in furnishings and layout. Guest access When you are a guest at the Inn, you will be free to explore many of the rooms, including 2 parlors, dining areas, and exterior spaces. All can be used to get away, read a book, or hop onto a laptop if needed. Other things to note Front Desk / Guest Check-In Times: Sunday 1:00pm - 2:00pm Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 5:00pm Friday & Saturday 3:00pm - 9:00pm If you believe you might arrive later than the end check-in time shown, please immediately send us an email address and your estimated arrival time.
