Cosy Shepherds hut with stunning loch views on secluded 155 acre estate in Glen Cannich. Fully heated with log burner and romantic raised bed. Inverness 40 miles, Beauly 15 miles, Cannich 3 miles, close to Glen Affric and Loch Ness. Ideal for photographers; buzzards, golden eagles, badgers, otters and pine martens are found in the area. Large numbers of red deer graze in the fields by our loch. Excellent walking with many Munros and the Affric-Kintail Way on the doorstep. The space Unique and romantic, our Shepherd's Hut is perfect for couples. It has a comfortable, raised double bed, wood burning stove (logs provided), table and stools, interior lighting, hooks and hangers, doormat, plug sockets, torch, storage cupboard and drawer, gas stove, microwave, kettle, all cooking utensils, oven gloves, cutlery and crockery, BBQ, outdoor seating. Free Wifi. All bedding, towels and tea-towels provided, please contact us if you would prefer to bring your own bedding. Max. 2 guests, no infants. Heated, shared bathrooms including two showers, two toilets, washing-up sink, fridge and hooks for drying clothes. This is a short walk from the Hut (approx. 50m). Parking for one car is a short distance from the Hut, please contact us if you intend to bring more than one car. Unfortunately the Shepherd's Hut is not suitable for dogs. Large groups wishing to book more than one Pod/Hut must contact us prior to booking for approval. As with many areas of the Highlands, in July and August we sometimes have midges. Midge repellant is available to purchase on site. Guest access Guests have access to the shared bathrooms, washing-up sink and fridge in the annexe of the owners house. Guests have full access to the large deer fenced area containing the accommodation and the 155 acre estate as a whole. Use of private fire pit. Access to the loch and river on our estate. Other things to note Our estate contains a loch, river and many small streams so young children will need to be supervised. We have some sheep but these are contained in fenced fields and do not roam the estate as a whole. We also have a holiday cottage adjacent to our own house and 4 glamping pods on site. There is no mobile phone reception on the estate but there is free WiFi available. Seasonal fishing is included (trout and pike). Access to the property is via a wooden bridge and two cattle grids, please contact us if you have concerns about the access and size of your vehicle.
