The property is a wildlife conservation area boasting orchards, gardens, marsh lands, spring fed pond, hay fields and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy seasonal vegetables and eggs from owners garden and walks/hiking on site. Floyd Va (Floyd Festival) is 21 miles away for sightseeing, hiking, kayaking. Chateau Morrisette Winery is approximately 30 miles away off the Parkway. Roanoke is 26 miles and Rocky Mount is 10 miles. All the towns offer farmers markets, restaurants, bars for those seeking some night life. The pond is fed by 3 springs and has large bass, crappie, sunfish and catfish. There is a rowboat available for use and extra fee for sport fishing (threw back an 8 pound bass)
