Wa-She-Shu
Description
Desolation Hotel Hope Valley is honored to continue the Sorensen’s tradition of hospitality by inviting new generations of adventurers to fall in love with this land and all that it has to offer. The Sorensen family first settled in Hope Valley in 1926. They soon opened their doors to guests who came from near and far to enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. At Desolation Hotel Hope Valley, your wildernest awaits. The space Welcome to Wa-She-Shu translated as "people from here" from the local Washoe tribe, was originally built in 1988. This cabin is one of the newer constructions built from the third-generation owners. This two-story cabin boasts a vast amount of charm. As you walk in, you are greeted by your living quarters complete with a gas log fireplace. This opens up to your full kitchen with seating for four. The en-suite bathroom is complete with sleek fixtures and a bathtub/shower combo, coupled with a bedroom fixed with a full-sized sleeping accommodation. Upstairs you will find an open loft with a king size bed. Set alongside the mountainside, step outside onto your patio with lounge chairs and listen to the nature around you.
