Historic farm homestead

A generously sized bedroom, with a private bathroom tucked away at the back of this heritage home. There is also a second bedroom available. Located only 5 mintues from Penguin and 10 minutes to Burnie, Howth is a great central place to base yourself and explore the beautiful north-west coast. It's a large house with plenty of spaces to find quiet and read a book. Surrounded by a gorgeous cottage garden. My home is on an acre of land, with sheep and chooks and ajoins a working farm. The space Perfect for a family stay. There are two bedrooms available. The backroom is accessed by its own hallway and feels very private, with direct access to the bathroom and toilet. It is furnished with a queen sized beds, a wardrobe for hanging, full length mirror and loads of room for luggage. The 'middle' room, as it's called, is also spacious, located on the main hallway. It has a double bed and a single bed, please note the single bed isn't great on comfort, so I'd only recommend this for children. This is my home, not a polished, fake Airbnb experience. So please only book my house if you're after a rustic, rural stay. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, but this is a historic house with draughts, and isn't centrally heated. There is an amazing fireplace which heats one of the main spaces, and takes the chill off the hallway, bedrooms aren't heated. The kitchen/living area is heated with gas. There's a sunroom, which gets sun from the morning til the early arvo, it's a relaxed, rustic space perfect for reading. The front verhandah bound by wisteria get's the early morning sun. The back of the house, with a flat lawn, looks out the the 100 year old orchard, and is the spot to sit at the end of a day with a beer or softdrink and a game of backyard cricket. There is an open plan area, with a fairly modern kitchen and living space. In the centre of the house is a double sized room with couches, a fireplace, second TV a piano and pianola! Plenty of space for indoor games. Guest access You're welcome to use other areas of the house and garden, there are 2 living spaces with a TV in each space, a wood-fire in winter, and a delightful sunroom.
