It is a freshly renovated world war II coastal defence observation and searchlight post. When you gaze out over the sea towards the horizon you are provided with a truly awe- inspiring vista. Situated in Normans Bay, a private village, the apartment is a mere quarter of a mile from Normans Bay train station. The space Cosy , heated studio apartment with exceptional views all year round. This is due to the fact that it is an historical building, built as a bunker to house a massive search light, spanning the bay for intruders. The views are unique and amazing. Watch the waves crashing on the beach while you snuggle up with a good book. During the winter months, why not bring your fishing rods. Great fishing right outside the beach garden. ( Storage provided for equipment) In the evening, marvel at how clear the stars look in the sky. This beach front location offers a stunning panorama of the sky sea and sand. The owners of the apartment are passionate about providing an exceptional experience for you. One is a dress designer, ensuring that attention to detail of every aspect of your stay. The other owner is a sculptor and RHS gold-medal-winning garden designer. The property has an extraordinary garden, so you’ll be surrounded by a blend of artistry and natural beauty, located in an area known for its favourable climate. This is a lovely light studio apartment with beds that can be zipped together to make a super king or left as two singles. A cot and floor mattresses x2 available on request for families with children. An open plan living/ sleeping space, there is relaxed seating in the bay window overlooking the sea. A lovely place to enjoy your coffee or a nice glass of wine . There is a small kitchenette and separate shower room, a large TV and hanging rail and drawers for clothes. The kitchenette is well equipped with microwave toaster and kettle. The microwave is also a convection oven and grill. There is an also a small hob and a fridge. The dining table seats two but could accommodate 3 In the warmer months there is a Barbecue for your use and an outside dining table and chairs, with parasol. Please note (we do not supply beach towels) You may also need beach shoes or flip flops on the stones. Our beach is a favourite location for astrophotographers. Free from light pollution, the stars and planets dazzle in the sky. The ITV drama ‘Flesh and Blood’ was filmed here. It’s a breathtaking backdrop for your evening strolls along the beach or returning from an exceptionally good value supper at our local pub, The Star Inn.
