Stone Creek Retreat The space This large, peaceful home in Cape Neddick has enough room for the whole family and is only three minutes from Marginal Way! Despite being so close to town, you’ll find yourself nestled away against a classic Maine woodland for plenty of comfort and privacy. Gather in the open full kitchen to cook a wonderful meal, or enjoy your favorite novel and some vitamin D in the sunroom. The kids will find all the yard space and nature they’ll need to have all the adventure they desire in the backyard. Rinse off after a day at the beach in the outdoor shower, then gather around the firepit to warm up. Take the provided tennis rackets to a nearby court to have a friendly game together. When you return, relax on the deck off the kitchen or gather in the spacious living room and bask in the warmth of the fireplace there. The center of Ogunquit is less than a mile from your front door and is home to all kinds of shops, top-rated local restaurants known for delicious cuisine, and the long white-sand beach of Ogunquit. A quick 2.6-mile drive south will take golfers to Cape Neddick Country Club where they can spend all day on the greens. Another 3.5 miles or so will bring you to the center of Cape Neddick which has loads of exciting attractions to explore. Take the kids to York's Wild Kingdom zoo and amusement park, sunbathe and swim at Long Sands Beach, or take stunning photos at Nubble Lighthouse. Guest access You'll enter through the side door to the right of the garage doors. Use the 4-digit lockbox code to open the primary lockbox, then use the key inside to unlock the door. Your check-in time is 4pm. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day and holiday periods), early check-in is not available. During non-peak season, if early check-in is available for a fee, you'll receive an email or SMS offer - if you don't receive an offer, it's not available that day. If you're locked out, contact the property team for the backup lockbox code, which is located on the garage door jam. Your check-out time is 10am unless a late checkout was offered and purchased with your reservation. Other things to note The home features 4 smart TVs: one in the first-floor sunroom, one in the first-floor master bedroom, one in the second-floor sitting area, and one in the second-floor pingpong room. A gas fireplace (ventless, operated by remote) is available year-round. A gas grill with piped-in propane is available seasonally (May through September, weather permitting) - you'll never run out of fuel. A fire pit is available seasonally (May through September, weather permitting); wood is not provided. An outdoor shower is on the back side of the house, accessible through the garage, and available seasonally (May through September, weather permitting). The home includes complimentary start-up amenities: toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags, dishwasher pods, sponge, dish soap, laundry soap, and hand soap. These are meant to get you started - please pick up additional supplies as needed during your stay. Weekly lawn care is provided by a local service; the day of the week can vary depending on their schedule and weather. Snow removal (driveway plowing and path shoveling) is provided by a local contractor within 24 hours of a snowstorm. Ice melt and a snow shovel are provided. WiFi along the Southern Maine coast can be spotty depending on your cell phone provider; Verizon tends to work best in most coastal areas. If WiFi goes out, wait an hour or until any weather passes, then try rebooting the modem/router. Power outages are not uncommon during inclement weather, especially snow storms - if you're visiting in winter, check the forecast in advance and consider trip insurance. Insects and pests are part of the natural environment in Southern Maine. Monthly pest control is performed, but complete elimination is not guaranteed. Depending on season, you may encounter mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, sand fleas, spiders, beetles, ants, no-see-ums, beach flies, deer flies, and houseflies - please bring bug spray for outdoor activities.
