Our home, secured with electric fence and gate, offers stunning views of the Helderberg Mountain and Hottentots-Holland mountains. Although there is not a dedicated private entrance to the room, you will have freedom to come and go as you please, with your privacy fully respected. The space The spacious main bedroom, with queen-size bed, is upstairs on the first level with windows and loads of light. The quaint en-suite bathroom has a shower and basin. The toilet is separate and unfortunately not en-suite (right next to the room). A complimentary small tray of snacks/goodies will be supplied for you to enjoy during your stay. Guests will have access to an upstairs kitchenette next to the room with sink, microwave, toaster, air fryer, crockery and cutlery. Unfortunately, no stove is available. During the cold winter there is a full fit electric blanket on the bed as well as a wall heater and a 2000w portable floor standing electric heater. Our space is popular amongst business travellers who need a place to stay that still feels like home, as well as couples and solo adventurers. For the more adventurous, the many hiking trails nearby in the Helderberg Nature Reserve are popular and safe during summer and winter. For the beach lovers, we are 10 minutes’ drive from the main beach in Strand. This is also a central location with easy access to: * The R44 leading to the Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and winelands. * 20 Minutes’ drive to Stellenbosch University. * 25 Minutes’ drive to Cape Town International Airport. * 40 Minutes’ drive to Cape Town (Table Mountain and V & A Waterfront). * The N2 towards Grabouw, Hermanus or Clarence Drive. The area is a highly rated destination amongst local and international visitors with amazing sightseeing opportunities, outdoor and cultural activities, plenty of wine farms and wine tastings, as well as golfing at Erinvale or De Zalze in Stellenbosch.
