Quiet, peaceful stay!
The perfect cozy, peaceful resting place after a long drive or a long hike at Mesa Verde. The home is about fifteen minutes to the base of Mesa Verde. It is close enough to town to enjoy amenities, yet far enough away to not be crowded in town. There are great mountain/mesa views. There are three horses and four chickens that live on the property - and deer frequently visit as well. This home has two bedrooms, 2 beds (a king size Sleep Number bed and a full size bed), 1 1/2 bath, living room, fully furnished kitchen, dining room, free washer and dryer, free parking, front porch deck and front lawn. The home is an older single wide home. We have had several comments of people saying the home reminds them of their grandparents' place while they were growing up. Even though the home is older, it is in great shape for the age that it is. It does have imperfections! Please, if you are high maintenance, wanting perfection or wanting the newest and most updated - please look to book elsewhere! If you are willing to overlook a few imperfections, but yet want to have a quiet, safe place to rest - then I would love to host you!!! My husband and I do everything on our own. We do not hire third parties to come clean or manage for us. PLEASE understand that it is not perfect!! Because it is older, there are things we are working on to improve the home. It takes time! BUT - - the beds, sinks, toilets, and other surfaces will always be clean! Also, please understand that, according to Airbnb, a 3 star review is horrible and failing. A five star review does not mean things were perfect or completely up to date. I work really hard to clean, communicate with guests and help guests feel comfortable!! If you have suggestions, I would love to hear them!! And I will most likely do what suggestions you have, but no need to leave a nasty review about what I don't have. (Like not having a lamp in a certain spot) Please note - There is a small step inside the home between the dining room and the living room. Please make sure everyone in your group is aware of this step. Guests have full access to the house, the front deck, and the front lawn. My chickens are free range chickens so you may see them up front under the trees or on the lawn. Unable to accommodate service animals due to phobia We live, play and work on the property. During your stay, I would love to say hi and visit, but totally understand that most guests want privacy. So most of the time I will keep to myself, but if you see me outside, you are welcome to come say hi if you would like.
