Two blocks from downtown Oroville with unique restaurants, shops and the Feather River. The space This historic home was built in 1875 by Butte County Superior Court Judge, John Carleton Gray. Just recently restored, this large home with four suites offers a grand and comfortable stay with antique furnishings and decor reminiscent of the original home. A five minute walk gets you downtown to enjoy a wine bar, restaurants, coffee shops and unique retail. OR walk two blocks to the Feather River and enjoy our amazing waterfront known for fishing, disc golf, summer concerts and picnics. IF you are up to it, you can walk all the way to the damn (approx. 5 miles). Guest access To enter the Carleton there are four steps at the front entry. There are two suites on the first floor, The Bird Suite and the Petite Suite. Ascend the original stairwell to the second floor with two more suites upstairs, the Judge’s Chambers and the Hecker Suite. All guests share the kitchen, dining room, parlor and office. During your stay We live catty corner to the Carleton. and would love to meet you. We will be tending the space from 10:00 to 3:00 getting rooms ready and stocking the kitchen. You can check in with a key code to enter the front door and you will have a key to your suite. Other things to note This is a bed and breakfast style Airbnb with four en suites. Limit of 2 guests per suite. The parlor, dining room, office, laundry room and kitchen are shared spaces. We live catty corner to this historic home and are available if there is anything you need.
