Enchanted Castle at an Alternative Community

This is a very unique building in the lush forest overlooking Lake Atitlan, perfect to connect with the natural sounds from the forest and to have a break from the day to day life routines and the outside world. The castle is a piece of art itself. Come and enjoy the magic that this space offers you. The space We created an alternative community, with the Castle serving as the common center. Then members of the community added their personal houses and we started bringing children into this world. We've had 4 natural births on site which is an inspiration for many. The Castle naturally transformed from a Buddhist teaching, that states that the most important thing to do is to relax. Through relaxation and toleration we have created a magical artistic space where people can find the rest and connection to nature they seek. We open the doors of our home for you, so that means we live in this building, the opposite to minimalist. Do not expect high standars this is an alternative living and ever transforming, off grid paradise. Guest access The main platform is ideal for morning meditation, yoga, or to enhance your personal practice. It is also the spot to gather around a fire as the sun sets. The old ruin is its setting. The tale is an old german tour guide built this structure in the 1970s. The 76 earthquake damaged the building. In the 80s guerrilla soldiers lived in it. Friends who know Exupery's family, said he stayed near Godinez in the 70's. Back then the region was way less developed and it makes sense that 2 europeans enjoyed the days sharing stories of their adventures. So I like to muse that this view was part of his inspiration in writting the Little Prince.
