Situated on approximately 2 acres of groomed forest with mixed old-growth trees, you feel like you are in your own private little park. But the real fun is on the deck of this wonderful cottage. Enjoy the views of the harbor below, the lounge chairs, outside dining table, and the three burner Weber BBQ. This south facing deck provides a sunny place to enjoy the views and peaceful, natural surroundings. When indoors, the sun warms this home through its wall of windows that invite the outdoors in. The great room includes the gracious kitchen, dining area for seven and seating area for streaming HD TV from the comfortable sofas and chairs. There are two queen bedrooms, each with wonderful Simmons Black mattresses and luxury bedding that will make you feel pampered. There is also a small bedroom with a twin bed for that extra person who always comes along on an Orcas Island vacation. You will find a full bath with combination tub/shower and a half bath to provide extra convenience. There is also a nearby laundry room area. The heating and cooling system has recently been upgraded to ductless heat pump which offers an even heat in the winter and air conditioning for those hot summer days. Note: The loft in this home is not available for guest use. Please note this home has 5 steps to the entrance. Please note: residential internet speeds, bandwidth and reliability in the San Juan Islands currently lag behind the mainland. Guests who wish to use video conferencing, streaming services, or multiple simultaneous internet connections should be aware that performance may not meet the levels they are accustomed to.
