Detached Home in Cornwall

Kick back and relax in our light and airy private, detached annex. Newly converted in 2023, Lavender Cottage, surrounded by lavender bushes, offers a delightful private stay on the land of our family home. The cottage is tucked away down a quiet country lane but within walking distance from the village store and amenities. Offering a small kitchenette, en-suite shower room and separate bedroom. It also has a sofa bed making a small double and a pull out single trundle bed in the living room. The space Lavender cottage is self contained & detached within a private setting. It has a large driveway that fits up to 3 cars. There are steps that lead up to your own private seating area, taking in the beautiful views across the valley. The front entrance takes you into a small kitchenette. This has enough cookware to make breakfast, lunch and lite dinners. There is not an oven or hob, but is a microwave, kettle and a toaster. We always keep the coffee, tea and sugar topped up and make sure there is a pint of milk in the fridge for guests arrival. There is a folding table which can sit up to 4 people. The chairs tuck away to save space when not in use. The living room is open plan with a sofa which folds out to make a small double bed. We also have available a single trundle bed which is stored under the bed in the bedroom. All bedding is provided including a topper for the sofa bed. The living room has a 42” smart TV which you can use to sign into Netflix, Amazon prime, Disney + and normal satellite TV. The bathroom is accessed from the lounge. There is a powerful electric shower, a sink/toilet vanity unit and a heated towel rail. Towels are provided but not beach towels. The bedroom has a standard double bed, which has great feedback for being comfortable. There is a door leading out of the bedroom onto the drive, which has to be kept clear as a fire escape point. There is a small clothes hanging area and a shelf for smaller items. A modern take on an old cottage. With up to date insulation to save on heating energy usage. We have also made a safe environment for children, by using socket covers and fitting safety baby catches on all kitchen cupboards and drawers. Lavender cottage is the perfect stay for couples or small families who want a peaceful stay whilst exploring Cornwall.
