Unwind and be awed by the beauty of Maine! This is a rustic and cozy cabin on Beech Hill Pond located just across the well known swimming spot “Junk of Pork” rock- where courageous people jump off. Ideal for anyone looking to de-stress, have a little quiet time, get out on the water, and explore. Great base for Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park with all of its trails and magnificent views. An open concept with a spacious feel. This rustic and cozy cabin comes with modern amenities such as a Fujitsu heat pump that provides AC cooling and heating to keep you comfortable all year round. A perfect area for creating wonderful memories with your family and friends. A propane fireplace for those colds night that creates a romantic setting. Wall convection heaters warms up the main bedroom, bathroom, and the sun room during cool months. The living room area features a smart TV with free access to Netflix, Hulu, AppleTV, and Disney+. Kitchen is well equipped to cook a full meal and perfect for hosting summer cookouts. We provide a 5 gallon bottled water through our hot and cold water dispenser free of charge to our guests. Bathroom has single vanity sink with mirror, toilet, walk-in shower with sliding glass door. Washer & dryer are located inside the bathroom’s large closet. The sun room faces the lake to make a perfect setting for cozying up and reading a book. The main bedroom is located on the first floor with a queen sized bed. Leading to the loft is a spiral staircase. The loft features 4 beds, 2 queens and 2 twins. This cabin comes with satellite Wi-Fi so you can call and text, but can be a bit spotty if trying to stream or zoom since the cabin is pretty remote. There is also a children’s pack-n-play available for any little ones you’re bringing along. We provide 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards to use at your leisure along with life jackets. There are 4 adult, 1 youth, 1 toddler, and 1 infant life jackets available. We have a fun floating dock out in the water that you can swim to and jump off of. Please no diving though! We also have a 12 ft metal dock with a ladder into the water, and a bench to sit and take in all of the views. No jumping or diving off metal dock. It can be very shallow at times. You can rent boats and jet skis around the area. There is a boat launch area just a couple miles away from the cabin. There are only pontoons, small fishing boats, and jet skis allowed on this pond. Use watercraft and water sports equipment at your own risk as there is no lifeguard on site. For peace of mind, a whole-home propane fired automatic Generac generator was recently installed. Guests have access to the entire cabin, backyard, boat dock, and floating dock. The garage is not accessible to guests. Her number is located on the refrigerator and in the guidebook on the counter. Otis, Maine, United States The house is at water's edge at the beautiful Beech Hill Pond in Otis, Maine. It is about 30-40 minutes from Bangor International Airport, 50 minutes from Acadia National Park, and 45 minutes from UMO campus. Beech Hill Pond has clean, clear waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or just plain relaxation by the water front. Enjoy the sunrise and sunsets, the wild life (loons and ducks), seaplanes. Bring in your own boat or jet ski or rent one and enjoy the water. There are no restrictions for water use in this pond. Enjoy fishing right off the dock. Enjoy having smore's by the firepit at night with friends and family. Make this as your water front base in visiting Acadia National Park during the day. At the National Park enjoy multiple rejuvenating hiking trails, amazing sceneries where the mountain meets the ocean, hear the crashing of waves, lakes/ ponds in abundance with an occasional wild duck or the call of the loon, and all the seafood that you like- lobster, scallops, clams, salmon. You can also choose to go on guided whale tours while in Bar Harvor or quided vark tours. At the National Park enjoy multiple rejuvenating hiking trails, amazing sceneries where the mountain meets the ocean, hear the crashing of waves, lakes/ ponds in abundance with an occasional wild duck or the call of the loon, and all the seafood that you like- lobster, scallops, clams, salmon. You can also choose to go on guided whale tours while in Bar Harbor, or guided park tours. Also try blueberry picking late summer early fall, visit local farm and enjoy the best Triple berry or blueberry pie! Unwind, rejuvenate, and relax- welcome to this slice of heaven on earth! Parking is free and can fit up to 3 medium sized vehicles if arranged correctly. One vehicle can fit in front and parallel with the garage. And the other two vehicles can fit in the drive way in front of the house by the stairs. You can ride your bike around the area, but for the most part you will need your vehicle to get to the closest store. The road from either direction (Bangor or Ellsworth) is not paved on the last 2-4 miles to the cabin. It is a dirt road that is well maintained by the local HOA. We provide fresh clean sheets and towels for every turnover. We clean, air out, and sanitize the space after each guest stay to give our next guest peace of mind. Water is lake drawn so the water from the faucets is NOT potable for drinking. A free 5-gallon bottled water is provided for each guest stay.
