Katie’s Cottage is a fairytale stone house set in the beautiful woodlands of Caernarfon, but when you step through the door you will find airy rooms with every modern comfort. The stunning location makes it the ideal base for visiting Snowdon, Anglesey and World Heritage Site Caernarfon Castle. You can explore the many hiking and biking trails nearby then return to your own rural retreat to enjoy the hot tub in the woods! The space Katie’s Cottage is a detached rural retreat built of local stone, full of charm and character, where you can unwind and recharge. Your own woodland spa! Step outside, take in the fresh forest air and let the tranquillity of the natural surroundings wash over you. Relax in the spacious dining area adjoining the fully-equipped kitchen, the cosy living room and three comfortable bedrooms with views of the garden, terrace and countryside. Katie’s Cottage has comfortable living space for up to nine guests. There is free WiFi, a flat screen TV and free private parking. Three café/bars are within a mile and a variety of restaurants and pubs within easy driving distance. The Llanberis path, a popular starting point for Mount Snowdon, is a 20mins drive away and it’s only 6.8 miles to the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Caernarfon Castle, restaurants and bars are 1.7 miles, Anglesey 7.6 miles and romantic Llanddwyn beach 3.7 miles. Also within easy distance are Anglesey Sea Zoo and Zip World where you can experience the fastest zip line in the world (100mph), a mile long and 500ft high with panoramic views of Snowdonia. There is also a PlayStation 4 at the property which you are welcome to use! Guest access The entire property is there for your use! Hot Tub IMPORTANT: If you notice that the water in the hot tub becomes discoloured in any way you must:- 1. Immediately stop using the hot tub 2. Inform the Travel Fox in order that a technician can attend. The Hot Tub Preparation for each booking means it might not be at full temperature on your check in day if we had previous guests stay! There is a device floating in the water to monitor chemical levels. Please do not remove this. Shower first: Wash your body with soap and water before entering to remove lotions, perfumes, and other residues that can affect water quality. Stay hydrated: Avoid alcohol, heavy meals, or exercise right before use, as the heat can affect your heart rate and the effects of alcohol can be intensified. Keep your head above water: Never submerge your head. Long hair should be tied back. Don't use alone: It is safer to use a hot tub with someone else. Children must be supervised at all times. Limit time: Stay in for a maximum of 15-20 minutes per session to prevent overheating. Strictly no glass allowed while using the hot tub please. Please do not drink Alcohol while in the hot tub Please do not allow hot tub temperatures to exceed 40℃ (lower if children will be using the hot tub) Please keep the lid on when not in use, it ensures nothing falls in Please never leave non-swimmers / children unattended in a hot tub Please do not overload the hot tub with more people than its recommended size Safety precautions Keep out of reach of children: Children under a certain age (often 8) are not allowed in, and those between 8 and 17 must be supervised by an adult. Don't sit on the cover: The hot tub cover is not designed to hold weight and can break. No glass or sharp objects: Use plastic or provided non-glass drinkware to avoid broken glass, which is a serious hazard. No food: Do not eat or bring food into the hot tub. No jewellery: Remove all jewellery before entering as it can become tarnished or cause damage. No electrical devices: Do not use any electrical appliances near or in the hot tub. Health considerations Consult a doctor: If you are pregnant, elderly, or have any chronic health conditions like heart disease, diabetes, or high/low blood pressure, seek medical advice before use. Don't use if ill: Do not use the hot tub if you have had diarrhoea in the past 14 days or have an infectious skin condition.
