Unplug. Unwind. Connect with nature. Come enjoy our 700 sq.ft. cabin on 6 wooded acres. Fish the trout stream, hike, bike, swim! See hummingbirds hover at the feeder, watch for deer or bald eagles. The outdoor recreational opportunities are endless. Listen to the wind whisper while you sway in the hammock. Play in the treehouse! Escape to the peaceful pines and let whippoorwills sing you to sleep at day's end. Bring your pup and enjoy the 1,200 sq. ft. private dog park. The space The cabin has one bedroom on the main level and a loft above. Each room has a queen size bed. Indoor plumbing. Air conditioning. We offer a full size stove, refrigerator and a small microwave in a small but well-stocked kitchen. In cold weather, snuggle up by the wood burning stove or simply adjust the thermostat if you prefer. New in 2023, Deer Hollow is our treehouse getaway that provides a bird’s-eye view of the forest. Set just far enough away from the cabin, Deer Hollow give you a unique private space to unwind. Use it for an elevated yoga, meditation or prayer space, catch a sunset or sit in one of the hanging swings and listen to nature all around. Find inspiration! Feel free to bring a sleeping bag and camp out if that’s your thing! Let the sounds of birds at dawn be your alarm clock. The WiFi reaches Deer Hollow too! I encourage disconnecting at the cabin but for the times you can’t…you’re covered! We are one of the few cabins in the area with fiber internet service. Download speed is 70 mbps, upload 10 mbps. This service will easily allow you to telework, support online gaming and effortlessly streams your favorite shows online while supporting multiple devices. Well-behaved dogs have always been welcome at the cabin and now they have their very own space! In summer of 2023 we built a 1,200 sq. ft. dog park for pups that need a safe space to play. The fence is 4 feet tall. You’ll find a few toys, a dog house and water bowl on site! (Guests are required to clean up after their dogs no matter where they do their business on the property.) Come stay, play or work in a setting where inspiration and relaxation abound. The cabin is calling! Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin. No access to basement space. Spend some time on the deck taking in nature, and if the bugs are too bad, escape to the screen house or tree house near by. When evening falls, light a camp fire and roast s'mores in the fire pit. Feeling adventurous? Take a dip in the cool refreshing waters of the trout stream! We are wired for Internet so if you seek a quiet place to work or binge-watch Netflix you can. There is also a DVD collection to enjoy. Or, my personal favorite, kick back in the hammock with a good book or your sweetheart (maybe both!) This is the place to unplug and get back to nature. You'll be glad you did! Other things to note New in 2025, Peaceful Wooded Sanctuary has air conditioning! The bathroom is located off the main floor bedroom. Guests must enter bedroom to access bathroom. If you are traveling with young children a portable crib and booster chair are already on site. We have fiber internet with WiFi. Download speeds up to 70 mbps, upload speeds up to 10 mbps. Two dog maximum. We can consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Just ask. Please, if you are bringing your dog(s), clean up after them. We happily provide bags for their mess, but expect the dog owner to pick it up. Not doing so will ruin the privilege for all (and that’s no fun!)
