Island retreat on Mississippi River (15 acres)

Enjoy an island retreat on a national park with 15 acres all to yourself! The property includes a main house and an attached guest house. The sprawling cabin is perched on the point of Grey Cloud Island, offering a one-of-a-kind view of the Mississippi River. Soak up sweeping vistas & observe wildlife on 2,400 feet of shoreline. The space Rules 1) Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am – Enforced by the Township of Grey Cloud Island ordinance. Noise travels on the river, and keeping the island a peaceful haven is paramount to us.  2) Special events must be approved by host BEFORE booking. This includes (but is not limited to): weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, retreats and reunions. Unauthorized events are not permitted and may result in cancellation without refund. Approved events are subject to an additional event fee (for example, weddings are typically $3,000), along with specific guidelines regarding guest count, parking, noise and use of the property. If you’re considering hosting a gathering, please send a message before booking with details about your plans. We can discuss and see whether it's a good fit for the island. 3) No smoking indoors. This includes cigarettes, marijuana and e-cigs/vapes. Smoking must be away from open doors and windows. We ask that you pick up any cigarette butts or other smoking debris when smoking outside. 4) Contact info. At least one week before arrival, please share the names and cell phone for 3 guests who will be at the cabin so we have multiple ways to reach you if needed.  5) Guest count. Our rental fee covers up to 16 guests. Any guests over 16 are charged $50/guest/day.  6) The hot tub and pool are available from 8 AM to 10 PM. Both the pool and hot tub close at 10 PM. This is according to township ordinance. If any outside noise is audible after 10 PM, we are violating this ordinance. (The pool is generally open June 1 through Labor Day weekend. Please confirm this as needed.) • All kids must be supervised by an adult when using the pool or hot tub.  • Use at your own risk. 7) Pets. Dogs are allowed at a rate of $150/dog/stay. We have a 2-dog limit and enforce the following rules: 1. No dogs on furniture. If your dog is used to that at home, please bring blankets or covers from home to cover furniture. 2. Kennel your dog when away from the house. 3. Give frequent potty breaks to avoid accidents in the home. If there is an accident inside, please do your best to clean it up and let me know. 4. Must pick up after your dog in the yard 5. Please don’t leave your dog unattended on the deck so that it barks. You are responsible for any damage to the property caused by your dog.   Cats are not allowed. 7) Check-in flexibility. Early check-in/late check-out is available on a case-by-case basis. If I'm able to provide it, I charge $100/hour. When you request either option, please tell me the time you are seeking. Thank you! Guest access You'll have the whole place to yourself!
