Eimaste: Lefkara dwelling

It's a joy to offer this traditional stone-built home as we work towards its renovation. There's always something that needs fixing here and a lot of potential as an eco-sensitive artist residency in the making. It's well equipped, comfortable, roomy and flexible. We welcome you to enjoy it, to explore its surroundings made up of rich architectural remnants from times past, and remember a different way of dwelling and of being in the world. The plumbing is now fixed and the back yard is next! The space The house is arranged over three storeys with two inner courtyards. I'm especially in love with the kitchen / living room and its fireplace. There is a double bedroom with a split unit air-conditioner on the top floor, which has a small balcony and exit to the inner courtyard. The second double bedroom, with an extra single bed, is in the lower ground floor (ideal siesta temperature during the summer months) and has its own door to the street. There is a sofa in the upstairs living room and soft bedding that can be spread on the floor to accommodate more people if necessary. Other things to note ** Things to Know Before Booking Thank you for considering our traditional village home. This is a heritage property with character and quirks, and we invite guests who will appreciate its atmosphere and care. Below are a few important notes to ensure your stay is enjoyable and aligned with the space: ** Clean-Up & Check-Out Please leave the house as you found it: tidy and cared for. Make sure to remove your garbage, turn off lights, and switch off heaters and the gas stove when you leave. If you have limited mobility or heavy items, there is a blue lightweight trolley in the storeroom to help you carry things to/from the car. ** House Notes The upstairs balcony is currently off-limits while we repair the railing. Some parts of the courtyard are under repair but others are accessible and enjoyable for sitting out. This home is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties: There are staircases between floors. The nearest parking is ~80 metres away, on foot. Technically, you can bring a car within 20 or so metres for loading/unloading, but it's logically complicated and not recommended. ** Layout & Comfort The lower-ground bedroom has visual privacy, but is separated from the rest of the house by a gate (not a full door). The hot water and pressure issues mentioned in a past review have now been fully repaired. The stove and oven have also been recently serviced and are working well! 🔥 Electricity & Heating (Winter Stays) To keep things fair and sustainable, *monthly* bookings include up to €100 in electricity use, which typically covers mindful winter usage. If usage exceeds this amount, we’ll provide a meter reading and breakdown, and the extra can be settled via Airbnb’s Resolution Center, at cost. This is a traditional stone house, and it stays cool in winter—extra blankets and electric or gas heaters are provided for comfort. ** Official Registration The house is officially licensed by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus.
