Merry Beach Retreat

A peaceful, light-filled retreat on the edge of the Murramarang National Park surrounded by many beautiful beaches providing loads of fun and adventures! Pretty beach, which has its name for a reason, is located (1km) away and Merry beach is only 700 metres away. The space Staying at Merry Beach Retreat feels like a deep breath of fresh air. The home is furnished in light finishes and soft, natural tones to make you feel at one with your beautiful, leafy surrounds. Your comfy, open-plan living area is flooded with natural light and caters for any way you might want to enjoy the day. Catch some sun and kick back in the sofa chair in the corner, or lounge on the crazy comfy Koala sofas while you catch up on reading or enjoy a movie. The Smart TV is a decent size and has access to every streaming platform you can think of. If that's not your jam, we've got plenty of puzzles and board games to enjoy as you let the day slowly roll on. The airy dining area has a generous table, with views, that seats up to 6, and the kitchen bench has stools where friends can hang out while you cook or catch up over a cuppa. The cosy kitchen has an induction cooktop, ample pantry space, and all the utensils you'll need to cook up a tasty snack or a hearty dinner for family and friends. You've got a kettle and pod machine for all your cuppa needs (pods and teabags provided) and even a blender and toasted sandwich press for any snack moment you might desire. The house has 3 generous bedrooms, 2 with queen-size beds, high quality mattresses and ample storage space. The third bedroom contains a trilogy bunk bed. Quality linen and Sheridan Towels are provided. There's also a portacot and high chair available for our littler guests, as well as some toys for them to enjoy. A very spacious main bathroom boasts a huge shower, bath and toilet, and plenty of vanity space/storage (hair dryer included!) with power outlets. And no need to overpack! The house also has a laundry with a nice big sink and washing machine, plus clothesline out the back and a washing basket/pegs provided. The second bathroom is our favourite! Situated outside the home under the carport, you'll get instant hot water from the outdoor shower - an absolute treat as you roll in from your beach day. The outdoor bathroom also has a toilet and sink, perfect for getting your shower and nighttime routine in when the main bathroom is in use or if you prefer the peace and quiet outside. The sun-drenched wrap-around deck across the front and side of the house is our absolute favourite hangout spot. Sink into the plush outdoor couch, catch some rays on the sun lounger, or enjoy dinner and drinks at the generous outdoor dining table. Needing some shade? No worries! Just roll out the retractable awnings and keep enjoying soft ocean and forest breezes. Once you're set up with a coffee and a good read, we can promise you'll be out the front for a good while. The backyard has a beautiful, lush native garden and all the space you'll need for games during the day and drinks around the fire at night. Pick a lemon from the tree and use it in your gin & tonic - why not! The backyard also has a convenient foldout clothes line that won't get in the way of your fun in the sun. Feel free to get out the back for a picnic dinner and enjoy the fresh air! The Kookaburras and Fairy Wrens will love the company. Guest access You've got full access to our beautiful retreat, we just keep a locked pantry in the laundry for all of our personal items. We appreciate if you don't try to get in there. Other things to note We've got all of your brekky basics covered! There'll be long life milk, cereal, tea/coffee, and condiments provided for you. If we're missing anything you're after, our tip is to head to Merry Beach Takeaway first. They've got a great range of pantry basics including bread, eggs, and milk.
