One of the best parts of staying here is the location—you can simply park the car and walk next door to Hood Canalé for wood-fired pizza, wine, and waterfront dining, or take a short stroll to downtown Union and nearby Alderbrook Resort. The property is accessed via a shared driveway that is also used by a neighboring vacation rental and the owners of Hood Canalé. While the driveway is shared, the cottage and its outdoor spaces are private for guest use. Please drive slowly and be courteous to others using the driveway. Other things to note The cottage is located just behind Hood Canalé, our popular waterfront wine bar featuring outdoor seating, wood-fired pizza, and seasonal live music. We also own the neighboring waterfront vacation rentals, Selkie's Cave and Mushroom Patch, creating a unique destination where guests can dine, relax, and experience the best of Hood Canal without ever getting back in the car. Because of the cottage's close proximity to Hood Canalé, guests may occasionally hear some activity or live music during business hours, particularly during the busy summer season. Outdoor activities and music conclude by 10:00 PM, and guest feedback has consistently been that noise is minimal.
