Grannys cottage @ Ruutin Mansion

Relax with the whole family and pets at this peaceful place in the middle of the fields. Hardly possible to find a more idyllic spot than this old rustic house, with its unique tar sauna overlooking the fields. The cabin just got an upgrade in 2024, and has now a second floor with a 3rd full bedroom and big studio space upstairs! The space In the house there are three bedrooms, a kitchen and a dining room The main bedroom has one queen size bed for two, the second bedroom has a bunk bed which also fits adults plus a Hemnes bed which fits one or two. In both bedrooms downstairs there is a fireplace (pönttöuuni) for the colder months. Upstairs there is big open studio space with fireplace and a 3rd bedroom with two beds. In the dining room there is a lounge area with plenty of art books, and well hidden as a painting a smart TV (Samsung Frame). The dinner tables can be arranged depening on the size of the group to one long table for 10+ people, or two separate tables. The small kitchen has all necessities to cook a meal. There is no dishwasher. In the Toilet there is a shower as well. The sauna is a traditional woodfired sauna with a magnificent sent of tar, overlooking the fields. Water is filled into the bins with the hose. Guest access All areas are accessible to guests. Dogs and other furry friends have their own little log cabin in front of the house. Please do not bring pets into the bedrooms. The grill pavillon in the garden is ideal for long evenings around the fire, or to enjoy BBQ or smoking fish. The berry bushes produce the best and healthiest blackcurrants, they are ripe from mid July onwards. Eat them before the birds do! Other things to note If you need to wash clothes during your stay, you can use the machine at the main house of Ruutin Kartano. When using the sauna, it is important that the water tank on the sauna stove is always filled with water. Else it melts and the whole world explodes. Almost.
