The Garden Flat offers a rare mix of privacy, space and charm. A one-bedroom apartment set over two floors and laid out like a little house, it’s an ideal retreat for couples, solo travellers or friends, with your own secluded courtyard garden that feels like a hidden oasis in the town. A short walk away you’ll find the best viewpoint of South Bay and the cliff lift down to the beach. It truly is a wonderful area to explore! The space The Artist’s House has very recently been renovated from top to bottom, so expect modern standards and stunning interiors throughout. On the ground floor there’s a living room with a comfy three-seater sofa, 55 inch smart TV (with Netflix), and a two-seater dining table and chairs. Next, you’ll find a lovely galley kitchen equipped with a washing machine, four-ring hob, combination oven/grill/microwave, fridge (with icebox), sink, Nespresso machine, toaster, and kettle. The cupboards are stocked with everything you’ll need to cook lovely meals (or plate up your fish and chips!) during your stay. At the rear of the apartment there’s a door through to your own beautiful garden, featuring a dining table and chairs, festoon lighting, BBQ and chairs for relaxing. Heading on upstairs, the bathroom is small but perfectly formed - featuring a powerful shower, toilet and basin - and your bedroom, which has a luxurious double bed. You’ll also have access to fast and free broadband, plus a selection of books, board games and puzzles to keep you entertained after your days out in sunny Scarbados! Guest access Guests have private access to the full apartment via a communal hallway. We operate a self check in process and full details will be provided after booking. Other things to note There is free on-street parking outside of the property from 5pm in the evenings until 9am in the mornings (noon on Sundays), and then for 3 hours at a time during the day. For long-stay parking, the nearest paid car park is on Albion Rd, Scarborough, YO11 2BT (a 3 minute walk away). It costs £6 for 24 hours. Alternatively, for free long-stay parking, it is possible to park outside of Scarborough's parking zone areas. The closest streets are a 5 minute walk away to the south. Externally there are steps up to the front door. Access to apartment is on the ground floor. Within the apartment there are stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom.
