Other important notes to take in consideration before you book: 1. The Experience. This experience is not like any other, KOSAY is not comparable with the comfort of a fancy hotel, it is truly an adventurous experience; remote, rustic and authentic right in the middle of Balinese nature and culture. 2. The insects. Note the bamboo house is located within a rice terrace with rich biodiversity. Staying in this bamboo house means that you're willing to share your living space with some other natural inhabitants, such as ants, fly, mosquito, frogs, gecko's etc. To minimize their presence it's important to keep the space clean and not leave any food outside the fridge. If you have a specific insect allergy or you are afraid of these insects, we suggest this bamboo house is not good for you. Or you may go at your own risk. 3. Climate. The climate is divided into two seasons, dry (May-Sept) and wet (Oct-April). However, climate change has made the weather a bit unpredictable. Especially when you stay during the wet season please consider facing heavy rain which has consequences for the scenery as well. 4. Harvest. The rice fields are harvested four times a year, resulting in a landscape that may look different from the photos (but remains enchanting). The harvest periods are determined by local farmers, which we can't control. Despite the private nature of the house, please be aware that farmers occasionally walk through the rice fields, a natural and distinctive interaction that adds to the authentic charm of the surroundings. 5. The Location. Our bamboo house is situated in a remote location where there is no road access. You will need to walk a short distance to reach the Nest (2 minutes). However, there is parking available nearby. Our host will assist you with your luggage and explain everything clearly regarding your check-in. The small town of Sidemen is a 20 min drive away. 6. Taxi's and Scooter Rental. It is possible to rent scooters to explore the area. Please note that Grab or Gojek is not available in this area, so prices of taxi's will be higher. 7. Air Conditioning. Bamboo is well-known for its temperature stability, thanks to natural ventilation, there is no need for AC. However for warmer days there is fan which you can use. 7. Room Services. You have our hosts stand-by who you can ask almost anything you need to make your stay enjoyable. They will help you with breakfast, food for lunch and dinner, find a masseur, room cleaning, laundry, transportation, area information, and tourist activities. We do anything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
