The Hearth Room - Strawberry Hill Petersburg

Walled by the original granite foundation dating to 1792, The Hearth Room is Strawberry Hill’s cozy and inviting basement room. Accessible by a private entrance on the west side of the building, this is the only pet-friendly room at Strawberry Hill. Featuring a full-sized brass bed, a 50” smart TV, and antique furnishings, your stay promises to be comfy and memorable. Guest access This pet-friendly basement room has a separate entrance and does not include access to the upstairs common areas at Strawberry Hill. If you leave the room and head towards the back of Strawberry Hill, down the hill you will see an open field with gardens that is also part of the property - you are welcome to let your pet get some off-leash exercise there. Please be aware that the area is not fully fenced in, and you are responsible for your pet's actions. Other things to note Strawberry Hill is just a short walk from downtown Petersburg, one of Virginia's oldest settlements with a complex past that now boasts a mix of beautiful architecture and old buildings waiting to be restored.
