Located in the picturesque and historic little town of Korumburra, Cream Cottage comes highly recommended. Guests have full private use of the whole cottage. Breakfast is provided on the first morning of your stay. There are books and games as well as a smart TV. It’s a cosy, well-equipped space, with a fenced garden area, and comfy beds. Guests can share our herb and kitchen garden as well as enjoy our bird life. The cottage is an easy five-minute walk to the Main Street The space Comfortable and cosy are words often used to describe Cream Cottage with a warm cottage atmosphere and everything you need for that relaxing stay in your ‘home away from home’ . Guest access The whole cottage is available for your private use as is the private fenced in back yard and the front verandah and peaceful front garden. Farmer’s Markets: There’s always a weekend market on somewhere in the area, so why not stock up with some of our delicious local produce! Gippsland Farmers Markets include: • The Koonwarra Farmers Market (first Saturday, Memorial Park) was one of the region’s first true farmers markets, connecting farmers with those in search of exceptional local product. This authentic market specialises in items that are hard to find in supermarkets, like pastured free-range eggs and chemical free vegetables, berry sorbets and fresh saffron. • Coal Creek Farmers Market (second Saturday, Coal Creek carpark, Silkstone Rd, Korumburra) The Farmers’ Market is held in the Coal Creek Community Park and Museum's main car-park every 2nd Saturday of the month, from 8 am - 12:30 pm. The market is run by local producers and is a not-for-profit association selling fresh local produce, flowers, smallgoods, local honey and sourdough bread. • Inverloch Famers Market: The scent of paella fills the air at the Inverloch Famers Market, (third Saturday, The Glade, Inverloch) where you can pick up fresh bread, cut flowers, local honey, mushrooms and crispy apples. • Warragul Farmers Market (third Saturday, Civic Park, Warragul) isn’t just a grab-it-and leave kind of gig. There is live music, ready to eat food and fantastic coffee, so you can take your time and enjoy shopping for organic fruit and vegetables, woodfired sourdough bread, local wines, gourmet sausage rolls and flavoured popcorn. • Enjoy the beautiful leafy setting of Traralgon Farmers Market (fourth Saturday, Kay Street Gardens) and be tempted by the range of beef jerky, salami, nut butter blends, farm raised eggs, smoked and fresh goat meat. • Sale Producers Market (third Saturday, Sale Showgrounds) has pastured free-range eggs, preserves, pure honey and olive oil alongside plenty to keep you sated while you’re there, including dumplings, cupcakes and gourmet pork pies. • The undercover Farmers Market Bairnsdale (first Saturday, Bairnsdale Secondary College) runs hail or shine. You can purchase lamb sausages, smoked meats, venison, Dargo walnuts, goats’ milk and cheese, olive oil, organic breads, seasonal apples and rhubarb. • Kongwak Market (Every Sun 9 - 12.30ish) This is a hippy, shabby chic, retro affair and the antique and book shop is fun for a browse. Wineries and Distilleries: • Gippsland Wine Company • Loch Brewery and Gin Distillery • Dirty Three Wines • Hogget Kitchen • Waratah Hills Winery • Harman Wines • Lucinda Estate • Djinta Djinta Winery • Basia Mille: is a Tuscan-inspired 4.45-hectare estate located in Fish Creek, offering a vineyard, an olive grove, and a private nine-hole golf course. A couple of other things to see, eat, drink and do: • Loch - is a special little village nearby. ‘Olive' is a classic little café for coffee and a snack and Gippsland Wine Company and the Loch Brewery & Gin Distillery are well worth a tasting! • Koonwarra Store - delicious food and lovely selection of wines followed by a stroll along Koonwarra to Leongatha stretch of Southern Rail Trail • Meeniyan - is also worth a visit with Trulli Woodfire Pizzeria (real Italian food) a lovely gallery and some nice gift shops. • Kernot – The ‘Kernot Food & Wine Store’ is an absolute treat. Great pizzas, local wines, music on weekends and heaps of character! • Leongatha – McCartin’s Hotel (Pub Grub) • Fish Creek - the Fish Creek pub is a beautiful art deco building and there are a number of interesting galleries and wineries in the area (Waratah Hills Vineyard is very good) • Inverloch - Tomo’s Japanese, Beach Box Cafe, Invy Espy pub, Dirty Three Wines’ tasting room and RACV Inverloch restaurant are all good places to go.
