The Bungalows of Bayamon

Welcome to The Bungalows! Whether you plan on spending your days where the blue sky meets the fresh mountain tops or the crystal-clear water meets the clouds, you’ll sleep comfortably with the whole family at The Bungalows. The prices listed is for both Bungalows where you can sleep 15 comfortably. However, if you are a smaller group of 5 or less, you have the flexibility to rent only the top Bungalow. If this is the case, please message me and we can make the arrangements at a lower cost. The space The Bungalows began with an idea that if we built something beautiful, my family from Michigan would have the perfect place to stay when they came to visit. In addition, it would provide more big families like mine the opportunity to travel outside the states together. Having the ability to get on an airplane and escape the daily grind of life to stay in a modern, but affordable place where everyone feels safe, comfortable and relaxed is the dream vacation. To build that dream, we spent the entire year of 2022 renovating and remodeling the entire first and second floor of the Bungalows. The living room and kitchen is a cozy space with a 50-inch TV that has Roku with access to YouTube, Disney Plus and Netflix. The couch is brand-new and 100% real leather. We added all new appliances in the kitchen, knocked out the bedroom closets and added the sweetest built in bunk-bed space for the kids. We then tore out the whole bathroom and completely retiled, updated the plumbing and installed all new fixtures, toilet and vanity with storage underneath. The kitchen has two gas stove tops to cook your favorite meal and a toaster oven to keep things simple. It also has a microwave and a brand-new standard Whirlpool fridge and freezer, including ice trays for making ice. It's fully equipped with pots, pans, big plates, small plates, bowls, silverware, cooking utensils, strainer, wine glasses, whiskey glasses, martini glasses and more! ** Most guests do not cook large three meal courses at the house because there are only two gas stove top burners downstairs and only two electric stove tops upstairs. The house is perfect for sleeping and gathering, but not meant for cooking large meals. Most guest find it better to cook breakfast and eat out most nights for dinner. All three bedrooms have fresh paint, new light fixtures, nightstands with electric outlets and most important, new air-conditioners! The entire home has a high WiFi wireless connection speed with built-in routers that ensure a great, consistent connection to the internet throughout your stay. Bedroom one has a brand-new Queen bed and mattress with a working desk/make-up area with one chair and a luggage caddy. Each bedroom also has one or two 96-foot blackout curtains for those of you who want to sleep in long after the sun comes up! Bedroom two is for the kids (or the young at heart) because who wants the kids sleeping right next to you on your trip? This is mom and dad’s vacation too! (wink, wink) So the “kids’ room” has one Full bed and 3 Twin beds (all brand-new) that make up the Bunk Beds. Not only are they fun for the kids, but they also sleep most adults comfortably. But my favorite part of this room is the handmade Puerto Rican swing for the kids to cuddle up in and read a book before bedtime. The third bedroom has a brand-new Queen bed and mattress with a working desk/make-up area with two chairs (perfect for Zoom meetings) and a luggage caddy. Each bedroom also has two types of pillows. One is goose feathered and the other is an allergy friendly gel pillow. All of the mattresses and pillows have waterproof covers that are hypoallergenic. Lastly, we have a build in storage closet in the hallway for everyone to store or hang their clothes for your stay. The fourth bedroom is upstairs and offers one King bed and one Queen bed with attached master bathroom. In addition to a pullout couch in the main living room area. It also offers a second additional full bathroom with a shower and closet space. It has a fully stocked kitchen that is open concept, including a dining room area that seats the whole family. The outdoor patio has a beautiful view of the mountains where you can enjoy the daily sunshine and cool evenings with a grill. The outside of the property has a spacious and adjacent parking area directly outside the front door. This outdoor area is fully equipped with surrounding 24-hour security cameras for your peace of mind and ours. The front door has a secure, keyless entry which provides your family a convenient, safe way of entering and exiting the property. The best thing is that you don’t have to worry about pesky lockboxes. The keyless entry conveniently provides access to your whole family coming and going throughout your stay. Need recommendations on restaurants? We’ve been to all of them. Need a new dress? We’ll send you the pin to the best mall on the island. Power went out? (Sorry, it happens here sometimes…) No need to worry, we have a generator that’s ready to rock and run! Lastly, we know there’s a lot of great spaces here on Airbnb, but what differentiates your stay with us than other places is that you’ll have an option to purchase a special VIP 1 Day Guest Pass to an exclusive Beach Club! The Beach Club has a two pools with an adult only swim-up bar and direct access to the beach. They also have restaurants that you can order food and drinks as you relax at the beach with your own beach chair, towels and server! In addition, starting in 2026 we are offering boat rides to the beautiful island of Icacos. 🚤 The boat will pick you up in Farjado and take your group on a 15 minute boat ride and drop you off on the island for the whole day. Your group can bring your own chairs, coolers, food and drinks. The boat will leave Farjado at 9:00am or 10:00am with the last boat ride back to the main island between 3-4pm. 🤿 So you get to enjoy the entire day with the locals floating in the ocean or walking on the beach. No problem! We have an option of groups 5 of less to just book Bungalow #2 (upstairs). It has a Master Suite with a King and Queen bed, as well as a Pull-out Couch and two more bathrooms that sleeps 6 people comfortably. OR you can book both Bungalows and that will sleep 15 people comfortably. Message me for more details if you're interested in booking just one Bungalow because you will get a discount. The price listed here is for BOTH Bungalows. Other things to note The Bungalows are located in a central location, southwest of San Juan in a city called, Bayamon. Where you'll be staying is... 30 minutes from the Luis Munoz Airport 35 minutes to Old San Juan 15 minutes to the closest Beach 12 minutes to the closest Mall 2 minute walk to the Pharmacy or local Pizza Place 1 hour to Fajardo where you can snorkel and go boating among other fun things on the east side of the island. 2 hours and 36 minutes to Rincon where you can learn how to surf or go fishing with the locals and experience the freshest fish and night life on the west side of the island. ** Please also note that due to the plumbing infrastructure common in many areas of Puerto Rico, toilet paper should not be flushed to prevent blockages. This is noted in the house guidelines inside the home, but we understand it can be unexpected if you’re not familiar with the island. We provide covered waste bins with liners and service the plumbing regularly to keep everything sanitary and functional. In addition, the property uses an on-demand water heater system. Warm water is available in all three showers, but it may take a few moments to heat up. Lastly, water in Puerto Rico is treated and safe for brushing teeth and cooking. However, many guests prefer bottled or filtered water for drinking. We recommend bottled water, and we’re happy to let you know where nearby stores are located.
