Luxurious Highland Hideaway

Whiterow Cottage, in the grounds of Whiterow House on the edge of Forres, is an elegant and spacious two bedroomed cottage in Moray 3 miles from the sea. It is secluded with a large garden. Guests have total privacy and the open situation means they have acres of sky and open countryside to gaze on from the French windows in the main living space. The large open fire warms in the winter and this traditional cottage is cosy and filled with light throughout the year. The space Whiterow Cottage is an old traditional stone cottage that has been extended and completely modernised, refurbished and decorated to a very high standard. It has been designed to provide guests with a supremely comfortable home from home. White oak floors in the main living spaces and silky carpets in the bedrooms support luxury furnishings enhanced by a small collection of antiques and art centred on the Hebridean Island of Iona. There is a large smart TV in the living room with Sky TV including Sky Sports, Amazon and Neflix access. The living room also has an inset wood burning stove. Both bedrooms have super-king sized beds, with luxury mattresses, fine bed linen and down pillows. The bed in the second bedroom splits into two singles. The master bedroom has generous wardrobe space for longer stays. There is an extra deep Japanese style bath in the bathroom and a drencher head shower. The kitchen is well appointed with separate fridge and freezer, a microwave, induction hob and thermal oven and a dishwasher. There is plenty of cupboard space and everything one could want for cooking and serving delicious meals. There are a Miele washing machine and Miele dryer in the hall. The cottage sits in its own large garden and has uninterrupted views of open countryside. In the winter the open rural location with low light pollution allows for some serious star gazing. Guest access The whole house and large attached private garden is available for guest use . Other things to note We have designed Whiterow Cottage to be a comfortable and elegant holiday home and we want our guests to feel cherished and welcome throughout their stay. However, much as we love animals we regret that due to the nature of the furnishings we are at present unable to accept dogs. If you want to cook we can provide fresh fruit and vegetables from our garden. We can tell you about all the wonderful places to visit in Morayshire and throughout the Highlands and take you on a tour of our gardens. Or we can just let you explore in your own time and in your own way.
