But this is unique in that you're only a 10 minute drive from the heart of Kandy city, yet are located high in the cool mountains with beautiful panoramic views. The sun set in the evenings are not to be missed. *Living Areas* There are several living areas. The main living room is fairly large and spacious with a 4 seater sofa + 2 seater loveseat sofa + 2 wing back chairs. There is an adjoining octagon-shaped living area with 270 degree views that's perfect to relax and have some time for yourself on the comfy recliner. *Kitchen* A spacious modern kitchen with an island and bar-height stools, stove with four burners, and a microwave oven to fix a quick meal or to have a chat overlooking the west-side views. *3 bedrooms in 3 corners* The 3 bedrooms are located in 3 different corners of the house giving the guests maximum privacy. Each bedroom also enjoys their own bathroom. *Bedroom Downstairs* This is a beautiful bedroom with vaulted ceilings and an en suite bathroom. It is air conditioned and opens to the outdoor terrace. It has air conditioning. *4th Bedroom* Please note that the 4th bedroom, the one with a single bed, is not completely private. It opens to the library on one side. So, if you want the 4th bedroom also to be completely private, this will not serve that purpose. *Master Bedroom (upper level - West)* The master bedroom is air conditioned and has a four-post queen bed. It also has an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and a walk-in closet with plenty of room. The large windows open up to nearly 270 degrees of views of the distant mountains and sun set in the evenings. *Octagonal Bedroom (upper level - East)* This is yet another beautiful bedroom on the east side of the house opening up to nearly 270 degrees of views on the north and east. The octagonal ceiling is unique and is one of my personal favorites. *Octagonal TV/ Family Room* Comes with a 55" flat screen TV with three custom-made loveseats that rest against three walls of the octagon. A great place to relax over a movie. *Outdoor Terraces* One of the highlights of the property is the terrace around the north and east side of the house giving nearly 360 degree panoramic and priceless views. The evening gives beautiful views of the sun set while at night you will see Kandy city lit up by thousands and thousands of lights/lamps. A truly breathtaking view. *Back Yard* The split-level/terraced back yard has a beautiful lawn with various types of flowers, vegetables and trees. It also has room for parking at least 3 vehicles. Whole house except the basement is available for guests. The dogs and caretakers will be in the basement area (which is open to the lower level garden and front yard). The owner lives in the USA, however, there is a contact person fluent in English who will be one telephone call away! It's a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. You can take a hike up the mountains for more beautiful views and even all the way up to the Hanthana mountains. The house is only a 10-minute drive away from Kandy city where you could visit the Dalada Maligawa and many other historical places. Also, we're 10 minutes from the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the University. There is parking space for at least 3 vehicles in the back yard. If you don't have your own vehicle, I will put you in contact with taxis.
