Bunyah Creek Farm Nature Retreat

Relax with your partner, share a couple's experience, or bring the kids to this peaceful nature retreat. Our cottage is situated in a 3-acre compound with beautiful gardens, located within a 33-acre nature reserve. A haven for native fauna, we've identified over 130 species of birds on the property, and the grounds abound with wallabies, kangaroos, possums, bandicoots, goannas, echidnas, and lots of other native fauna, including our resident koalas. And at night, there is our fabulous night sky! The space The property comprises a queen-size bedroom, a dining/living area with a lounge that converts to a double bed, a gourmet kitchen, and a bathroom that includes a washing machine, ironing board, iron, and hairdryer. The kitchen is stocked with an extensive range of staple food supplies, which are included in your fee to make your visit easier. The smart TV is connected to the internet and offers access to most free-to-air streaming channels, as well as popular services like Netflix, Stan, Spotify, and Kayo. The cottage features reverse-cycle air conditioning, and the kitchen is equipped with a medium-sized fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, complementing the electric stove top and oven. The cottage is primarily solar-powered, and the fresh water is supplied by rainwater collected in tanks. Guest access Guests enjoy their own private garden space, which features an outdoor dining area adorned with party lights, a fire pit area, and a private BBQ space. The cottage front deck looks out on your own private and tranquil garden. Guests are encouraged to roam around the homestead gardens and nature reserve. There are 5 kilometers of walking trails on the reserve, and a ramble along/in the creek is a must, making a nice space for a picnic by the stream. For an extra fee, Wayne can take you on a family-oriented, 2-hour wildlife safari introducing you to some of the unique flora and fauna on the reserve. Please contact him in advance if you’d like to participate in this optional activity. Other things to note Bunyah Creek Farm is central to a truly diverse range of experiences. Weekend markets, National Parks, Beaches, Rivers, and Lakes are all easily accessible from the farm. Gloucester is a thirty-minute drive inland, and Forster/Tuncurry is a fifty-minute drive to the coast.
