Villa Naranjas, Winter Retreat Las Alpujarras

Spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, is in a desirable position on the outskirts of Valor. With stunning views over un-spoilt countryside, you will forget you are in actually in a village. A few minutes walk, takes you to the centre with bars, restaurants & shops . There are mule tracks & local senderos to explore by foot, straight from the house. In addition to the private pool, large garden, piano, music system, shady veranda & stunning terrace , you have the perfect holiday destination. The space Winter retreat; This house is super for a winter getaway. Sunny daytime terrrace and wood burning stove for the evenings. There is a fully contained upstairs studio with a choice of a separate entrance or internal door . Complete with a bathroom and kitchenette, if your family/friends require more privacy. The internal door leads to the main house and becomes another upstairs bedroom/bathroom. There is also centralised Under Floor heating/ cooling . There are 6 beds in the house (2 doubles and 2 singles) The upstairs landing has a large desk with a monitor, in case you need to work. It also has large patio doors that open on to the terrace, with wonderful views over the garden and the valley. There is a Television in the studio with 64 TV and radio channels. It is also possible for wheelchair access to the house and lower floor amenities. With a handle over the bend to assist movement in bed. Please ask for details. ***please note, the swimming pool is not fenced. Please consider this is booking with small children . Also, if you have dogs, the garden is not fully fenced/secure. During the winter you will be supplied with 1 load of fire wood, enough perceived for your stay, if you need more, there will be a local charge of 130 Euros for another delivery. This will be delivered right to the house. This is not normally neccesary. ***During the winter months November - March , the house is most suitable for 4 guests. This is for comfort. Ask for more details. Also, if there are a few days blocked out during the time you would like, please check with me (it is possible these are for maintenance but can be re scheduled.) No parties , events or large gatherings of any kind, they are strictly prohibited. No filming or photography for commercial use . Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Listen to the bird song of the Golden Orioles and Nightingales and smell the fragrance of the flowers and plants from the garden. You can help yourself to the fruit on the trees and try the olive oil pressed from this very own garden and neighbouring trees (all made in the village's own Olive press) Play the Piano, listen to music and cook in the large kitchen. Sit on one of the 3 terraces taking in the sights and smells of the countryside. Parking is within metres of the house in the village car parks. and it is possible, to park directly at the property, (down a short track) ask for information. The village car parks are easily accessible, we use these to park our own car. There is a Wheelie trolley available for you to use to cart your Bottles / shopping from the car to the house. Casa Las Naranjas, is also a great location, to stay, if you do not travel with a car. It is walking distance to the bars , shops and the Bus stop. There is a Padel court within a 2.minute walk. Ask for booking details. Buses run to and from Granada and Ugijar. Please ask for more details. It could also be possible for an Airport transfer. Please note, the pool and the garden are not fully fenced. Ask for details Other things to note No doubt you wll lhave a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. (as you can see from the reviews) But I just need to let you now about a few things prior to booking - ** To comply with new Spanish laws , you will need to provide your ID (Passport or DNI or country ID ) and a home address , Nationality of all adult guests, within 24 hours of booking. Thank you for your understanding. Please ask if an earlier check in and later check out is possible. Children and animals will need to be supervised as there is an open pool. The garden is not fully fenced and occasionally the local feline neighbours' may come to visit you. They are just curious and will leave when you show them the way. Also to take into consideration, this house is in a rural area. There will be insects and small lizards / geckos (that eat the insects) . We try as we can to keep them to a minimum in the house but they may still appear on your visit. Also in the hotter months, water could be less available and the town hall may limit water for filling pools. We have managed to have full pools every season so far. We will always keep them as full and as clean as we are able, but occasionally it may be out of our control. Please note; it is the village annual Fiesta September 11th - 15th. It is a big cultural event and visitors really enjoy it, but during this time there will be fireworks and loud music ( throughout the night, every night). Parking and driving around the village will also be difficult. But don't worry, you have the garden to park in . During the summer (July and August) there are also a couple of shorter Fiestas. Dates are not always known until closer to the time. There will be music throughout the night. ** The Main booker needs to have a minimum Age of 21 . The host is also not responsible for the weather, natural disasters, third party services, utilities or providers . Parties , events or large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited.
