Welcome to our cozy, dog-friendly, A-frame in Truckee! This 2 bed/2 bath cabin is the perfect home base to explore all that North Lake Tahoe has to offer. Located in desirable Tahoe Donner, guests have full access to the fitness center, pools, hot tubs, saunas, and a private beach club and marina at Donner Lake. The house is also just a short drive to many amazing ski areas, including Palisades Tahoe and Northstar, and downtown Truckee is right down the hill with great restaurants and shops. When it comes to a mountain getaway, there’s something about an A-frame that just feels right. The outdoors are brought in through exposed wood beams, a cozy stove, and the classic wall of windows facing the mountains. Epic views can be enjoyed from much of the home’s interior, especially on the large back deck, which allows you to become immersed in your surroundings. Breathe in the fresh mountain air as you spend time outside grilling, eating, or simply enjoying time together. Back inside, there's a large sectional couch and smart tv, perfect for lounging after a long day. The dining table with seating for 6 also benefits from the cozy ambiance provided by the wood stove. The bright open kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook up a feast, from standard appliances to a coffee maker, and barstool seating for 4. This home sleeps 6 guests between 2 bedrooms and a loft, and has two bathrooms. Bedroom #1 is a private room on the first floor, furnished with a queen size bed. There is also a bedroom on the first floor, just across the hall from the bedroom. Bedroom #2 is off the semi-private loft with king size bed, while the loft space has a work area with a desk and chair, as well as a full-size futon. Since the loft is partially open, views can be enjoyed from the bedroom through the home’s rear floor-to-ceiling windows. On the other side of the loft, sliding glass doors open onto a private balcony overlooking the front yard. The loft has its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. The house gives you direct access to world-class Tahoe skiing and all the amazing amenities the Tahoe Donner community offers. Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort is just 5 minutes away with slopes ideal for beginners and instruction offered for children as young as 3 all the way to adults. Other world-class ski resorts close by include: Alpine Meadows (18.6 miles) Homewood (24.8 miles) Beyond hitting the slopes, year-round activities are waiting to be explored in the surrounding areas. The house comes with guest passes that give you access to all of the incredible Tahoe Donner amenities, including a newly remodeled gym, year-round pool, playground, and hot tubs at Trout Creek, a private beach with water sports rentals at Donner Lake, golf, cross-country skiing and mountain biking at Alder Creek Adventure Center. Miles of both paved and dirt trails for biking of all levels are nearby. Epic hiking trails with stunning panoramic views dot the region. Enjoy popular beaches at both Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe or find a private cove with unforgettable swimming. From boating and water sports to fishing and kayaking, there’s no shortage of activities on the water or in the mountains. In addition to all the outdoor activities, Tahoe’s entertainment scene is sure to impress. Live entertainment, iconic food and wine spots, local art galleries, shopping boutiques, and bustling nightlife fill the vibrant communities of Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. Due to the nature of these outages, Grand Welcome may not be able to provide information regarding anticipated restoration times. **Property Amenities** We strive to ensure that our listing is current and that advertised amenities are available. Guests are responsible for checking weather conditions to know when red flag warnings are in effect. **Bears** Bears live here, as do mountain lions, bobcats, eagles, coyotes, and a whole host of other creatures. We encourage you to observe them from a distance. Never try to pet or take photos with wildlife. Do not feed wildlife. Lock all vehicles and doors and windows of the home.
