Waterfront Cottage on Big Pine Creek

Soak up all the PA Wilds has to offer at our great location in the heart of the Pine Creek Valley! Our freshly renovated cottage sits on the beautiful Pine Creek with views of the infamous 62-mile Pine Creek Rail Trail. You are likely to see deer crossing the creek or a Bald Eagle flying over the valley while drinking your morning coffee on the outdoor swing. There are endless activities to keep you busy or choose to sit back, relax and soak up the fresh mountain air and scenic views! The space Our creekside cottage is close to all the activities that the Pine Creek Valley offers. The Pine Creek Rail Trail (PCRT) is a 62-mile well-maintained biking/walking trail that runs along the bottom of the uberscenic Pine Creek Gorge, commonly called the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The Waterville rail trail access parking lot is a quick 1/8 mile walk, bike or drive from our location. There is a large and newly constructed playground/recreation area with pickle ball courts a mile away (behind the Waterville Tavern). There are also many hiking trails within walking distance or a short drive. Be sure to check out the many beautiful vistas up and down the Pine Creek Valley! Our location on the Pine Creek is a great access point to throw some kayaks in the water and spend the day floating down the 'Piney'. Bring your own kayaks or inter-tubes to enjoy a fun, scenic day. After a warm day floating on the Pine Creek, treat yourself to an ice cream at McConnell's Country Store or a nice dinner at many of the popular restaurants in the Valley. The newly formed state-run ATV trails are another option for an adventure-filled day or weekend. The trailhead parking lot at Haneyville is less than 6 miles from our cottage. There are activities for all ages and seasons in the Pine Creek Valley!
