Abram's Cottage

This victorian cottage is charming and a ten minute walk to the center of town. Originally constructed in 1895 and lovingly maintained throughout the years, this cottage is perfect for a couple, a small group, or a family. Besides the spacious interior, enjoy the patio space with lots of seating and a barbecue as you relax in the evening after spending the day in Ashland or beautiful surrounding areas. The space The cottage is situated a convenient ten minute walk from the heart of downtown Ashland. It's easy to access all the great local restaurants, shops, and theatre but tucked away enough to provide a quiet retreat at the end of a long day. In the living room you will find a sofa and two comfy chairs for relaxing and socializing. There is a TV set up with local channels and a Roku to watch your favorite Netflix or Prime shows. Also situated in the living room is a Euro sleeper which extends into an additional bed. Additional bedding and a privacy screen can be found in the master bedroom. The dining room is our favorite room in the house. It is light and bright with a high ceiling. There is a dining table and six chairs for meals, drinks, or enjoy our selection of board games in the cabinet. The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave ready for your use. We have supplied plates, glasses, and pots and pans so you are ready to cook. You will also find a few additional appliances such as a blender, coffee maker, and toaster. Basic cooking supplies can be found in the kitchen including spices, olive oil, and flour. If you use the last of something just let us know so we can replace it for the next guest. The laundry room is off the kitchen and is equipped with a washer and dryer. Laundry soap is available as well. You will also find items for your furry friend in the laundry room. On the other side of the kitchen you will find the full bathroom with a traditional claw-foot tub. The tub is also equipped with a shower head so you can use it how you like. The bathroom has towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for your convenience. The master suite is also located on the main floor. There is a queen bed as well as ample closet and dresser space. The TV is ready to go with local channels as well as the capability of being plugged into a laptop or iPad (please bring your own adapter cables). The master bath has a shower/tub combination. Plenty of towels are available. The master bath also has plenty of miscellaneous items that you might have forgotten including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, feminine products, contact lens solution, spray-on deodorant, and cotton balls and rounds. You are welcome to use any of these things - just let us know if we need to re-fill after your stay. Upstairs is the additional bedroom. Please note that the stairs are original to the house and are narrow and shallow. There is a handrail to climb the stairs as well as a light located at the bottom to make it a bit easier up. However, sleeping upstairs is not recommended for those who are mobility challenged. Upstairs you will find two double beds and a TV which also has access to local channels. We have a great patio on the side of the house that has lots of seating for outdoor dining. We also have a BBQ which you are welcome to use. We also have a high chair and baby/pet gate located under the stairs if you need for your stay. Guest access You’ll have access to the entire house.
