Description
Welcome to our private guest house in our most beautiful Historic homestead (formerly Old Cran House) You have complete privacy and a separate entrance along a paved pathway to the front entrance. Avalon on Bourbong was built in 1894 by renowned architect FH Faircloth for the local Sugar baron Robert Cran. We chose to rename it after our daughter Avalon as she is like sunshine entering the room, also respecting our local indigenous who endured less than ideal working conditions under Mr Cran. The space The space is luxurious and unique, separate and private with sound resistant walls (not 100% soundproof) Also included is a photo props treasure chest, feel free to tag us in. For the weary traveler is a small pantry of basics if needed as nobody sleeps well when hungry. Guest access Access is via Bourbong St, far right side of the property near the bus stop, (sign is visible) on the fence near the gate. There will be a code sent to your mobile phone which will automatically allow you access for the allotted time. Alternatively a key fob can be collected from the lockbox near the front door and an access code sent to your phone. Key must be returned upon exiting otherwise another key will need to be sourced and reprogrammed at a considerable cost. Other things to note There is a large “Samsung Art” smart tv in the bedroom with all the usual features available. There is a sandwich press in the kitchen but please use only silicon spatula to avoid scratching nonstick coating. No cooking with strong spices eg: curry etc.
