A character, detached, four-bedroomed, listed, 16th century house, centrally located in the picturesque, village of Castle Hedingham, Palmers can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests with its generously proportioned rooms. A short stroll from all village amenities, including the castle, church, pubs, tearooms, fine-dining restaurant, and a community shop, it has a large rear garden with views across the park. It provides an ideal location for exploring the beautiful, historic villages nearby. The space As you would expect with a house of this age there are some unlevel floors, walls, ceilings and some rooms have small flights of steps to enter. Please treat the furniture with respect as most of it is antique. The front door should not be used to exit/enter the property as it can be temperamental. Guest access The majority of the house is for use of the guests as well as the large fenced and walled garden. A downstairs personal storage room, cellar, attic and an outbuilding are not available to guests. Other things to note The location is an ideal access point to the nearby towns and villages in the Suffolk/Essex borders such as Lavenham, Long Melford, Sudbury, Finchingfield, Braintree and further afield Colchester, Newmarket, and Cambridge. It is ideally located for weddings at Hedingham Castle (less than a 5 minute walk), as well as Tuffon Hall vineyard, The White Hart, Gosfield Hall, Fennes Estate and Smeetham Hall, which are all only a short drive away. Castle Hedingham has ample public footpaths and bridleways for you to explore as well.
