Nestled in the heart of Playa Grande, it is within walking distance to 3 beaches, incredible surfing and sunsets, restaurants, coffee shops, live music, a weekly market, a gym and a tennis court! Lots of wildlife in the area (crocodiles, birds, monkeys, land crabs, turtles). Great for a surfing/yoga retreat! Our newly built home is nestled in the heart of Playa Grande, providing a mix of convenience and quiet living. Embracing the principles of bioclimatic architecture, our house exemplifies sustainable living. The living room seamlessly connects to the pool area through sliding doors, inviting a sense of indoor-outdoor living. Equipped with modern amenities such as a Smart TV and air conditioning in all bedrooms, kitchen, and living room. The open-plan living area is bright and airy, with contemporary furnishing, and the fully equipped kitchen provides all the essentials to prepare incredible meals! We have beach chairs and a sun shade for you to bring down to the beach, as well as children's books, toys and art supplies for your family stay! We also have installed a top-of-the-line water filtration system throughout the house, making the water softer (for your hair and skin!) and filtering viruses and bacteria. Access to the whole house (minus the garage, used for personal storage) As your host, I strive to provide a seamless experience from the moment you book. Playa Grande is an ecologically important area within Las Baulas Marine National Park, covering four beaches (Carbón, Ventanas, Grande and Langosta). The park is a nesting site for Leatherback Turtles, Green Turtles and Olive Ridley Turtles as well as approximately 174 species of birds and many other animals including the loudest of all monkeys, the Howler Monkey! Playa Grande shares the same bay as Tamarindo, it is approximately a 22 km drive or a quick boat ride across the estuary. Its access keeps this town more sleepy and restful! The main beach in town is called Playa Grande, a long 4.5 km (2.8 miles) stretch of sand facing west and perfect for surfing. The beach's northern end is marked by a giant boulder named Dante’s Rock, leading to the next beach, Playa Ventanas, a less wavy beach and better for swimming. In town, you can find incredible coffee, Japanese fusion and burgers at "El Beach Club," amazing pizza at "El Huerto", local Costa Rica fare at "Restaurante Aguae Pipa," upscale pub food at "Rip Jack Inn", a Peruvian-inspired menu at "Casa Inti," a healthy all-day menu at "Pots & Bowls" to name a few - and all within a 2 min. walk! We are only a 5 min. walk to Playa Grande beach and you can get around in this town by boot or bicycle! If you want to get to Tamarindo, you might want to rent a car; however, we are happy to arrange car service anywhere you want to go! It's a perfect house for a retreat (yoga or surfing). It can also be combined with the house next door with 4 bedrooms if given enough notice. We would be happy to arrange packages with local instructors as well as with local chefs!
