This unique guesthouse is located in Halibut Cove, across Kachemak Bay from Homer. It literally sits over the Bay with the best views anywhere in Halibut Cove. The interior is impeccably done with white oak & maple finishes and is very comfortable. Includes all one needs for a comfortable self- sufficient stay with two twin bunk beds, two bunk double beds and a full kitchenette. No running water., but I provide all needed drinking water. Rainwater is collected and available for clean up.. The space Guesthouse sleeps 6 and is approximately 16’ x 16’. Huge windows with blinds to provide incredible views of Kachemak Bay, the Halibut Cove Arch & into the Cove with mountain back drop. Outstanding tidal pooling during low tide. From the guesthouse you will see sea otters, seals and eagles, swim and fly by your windows. This setting provides you with nature at its best in the most comfortable setting with all the amenities of home. Guest access You will have access to the entire guesthouse located on a private area of my 9.5 acre property that includes an inside & outside beach. Excellent beach combing, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Other things to note Must be able to comfortably climb stairs. During high tides you must use a separate staircase that has approximately 25 stairs with no handrail. Please also note there is an outhouse. Bath house available nearby for showers. This guesthouse is located in magical Halibut Cove. You must take a water taxi across the bay from Homer. Kachemak Bay Adventures is a good choice for water taxi service. I have one very good double kayak available for your use. If additional kayaks are needed, they can be rented just down the beach. These kayaks are easy walking distance from your guesthouse. The boat ride from the Homer boat harbor to Halibut Cove only takes about 20 minutes depending on sea conditions. You are likely to see see otters, eagles, seals & maybe even a Humpback whale in route.
