Our private 19th century Farmhouse Suite provides a peaceful setting for exploring rural Vermont life and farming first hand. Tucked away off the beaten path, our hillside farm provides a peaceful retreat and lovely setting to unwind, relax, and connect with rural living. Immerse yourself in farming, star lit nights, country roads, covered bridges, farmer’s markets, cycling, hiking, antiquing, contra dances, and amazing local food. Please note, we are not able to accommodate dogs. The space Our Farmhouse Suite, built in the late 1700’s, has all the charm of an old farmhouse – original exposed beams, wide pine flooring, and antique four poster beds. The suite features two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, small kitchenette with small refrigerator, sink, dishes, coffee/tea pot, and microwave. Our guests also have use of an outside gas grill with side burner, campfire, plush robes, reading books, game & T.V. cabinet, and a private covered porch. One bedroom has a four poster queen bed, the other bedroom has two twin-size four poster beds. In the winter, the suite is heated with a woodstove with a propane gas back up heater. If you prefer to not use the woodstove for heat, please let us know. The woodstove may not be used when young children are in the suite. In the summer, we have a window A/C unit in the living room area to cool you on hot days. Guest access Our guests are welcome to walk our property and have use of our outside grill, camp fire area, and small deck. This is a working farm and we ask guests to stay out of fenced areas and the barn. There are extensive dirt roads for walking on as well. We are a hill side farm with steep terrain. We are not handicap accessible. Other things to note Four wheel drive or studded snow tires are highly recommended for winter access to the farm. Though families with young children enjoy our farm, we are not "baby proof". Parents must be with their children at all times while on the property.
