Enjoy a quiet stay in our 110+ year-old Victorian home built for one of the first local cheese makers. Located two blocks from downtown it is an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. As a former Sign Language interpreter I look forward to welcoming deaf/hard of hearing guests as well. Our comfortable guest room on the second floor has a twin trundle bed and northeast exposure. The trundle lifts up to regular height. Private, detached bath just down the hall. (Special event dates may require sharing bath with other guest room. Inquire when booking.) Mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig are available for guest use in the 2nd floor gathering space. Shared spaces include the dining room, living room (TV) and adjoining sitting room with fireplace, wrap-around porch, patio, and backyard. My husband and I are happy to answer questions, offer suggestions about dining, activities, etc. or just sit and chat. Located on a tree-lined street in an historic neighborhood, we are two blocks from downtown making restaurants and shops a short walk away. Bring your bicycles and enjoy the recreational trail from Sheboygan to Greenbush or road riding through the countryside and Kettle Moraine State Forest. We are close to Elkhart Lake, Kohler, Sheboygan, and 45 min. to EAA. There is no public transportation in town so you will need a car. Although we don't have central air conditioning the ceiling fans in every room keep the house quite comfortable and each guest room has a portable AC unit. We do not have any pets, however, occasionally we watch our friends' dog. If you are allergic to dogs or have any concerns please let us know upon booking. Wi-fi is available.
