EVELYN'S VILLAGE A charming rustic peaceful escape to the country. She's a caravan, lovingly and carefully restored, one part of your private village housing all the luxuries you'll need for your perfect getaway. Evelyn is built from the ground up with 90% recycled, reused, scrounged and found materials, set in a secluded part of our property, next to majestic gum trees nestled amongst nature. A bird watchers paradise with 80 species spotted around the gardens, so bring your binoculars. The space "SelWood" is the name of our property, 35 acres of bushland wilderness set in the heart of Inman Valley on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. Only an hour from the city, the Fleurieu offers so much. Pristine beaches, great cafes, shopping, wineries and restaurants, tourist drives with spectacular views and the beauty and serenity of nature. "Evelyn" is a totally renovated 18 ft 1974 Viscount Caravan which houses the bedroom with a queen bed and a lounge area where you can relax to some tunes on the stereo with views into the gardens. Lie in late to the sounds of birds and nature. See kangaroos grazing just outside. She's unique. She's snug. She's respectable. A village has been built around the caravan with a separate lounge and kitchenette with a bar fridge stocked with goodies to make you feel right at home. A complimentary bottle of local wine and a bunch of handpicked flowers from our property will await your arrival. A fresh loaf of homemade bread will be waiting for you, along with a grazing platter, and some provisions for a cooked brekky with eggs from our happy pet chooks, which you can cook on the BBQ, Enjoy the mini pantry - popcorn while watching a movie or pancakes with your breakfast. Fresh ground coffee, loose leafed tea, a selection of teabags and more........ The large bathroom, constructed with wood and rustic materials has a roomy hot shower with views of the trees, a hand basin ....... and a boat. Meander along the lit paved path to your "loo with a view" or relax in a soaking hot bubble bath under the trees , both totally private with garden views. Enjoy toasting marshmallows sitting around the fire brazier, (only during off-peak fire season). We have provided wood and kindling. You'll meet our resident peacock, "Fabio", see our chooks and free range Guinea fowl scratching around the house gardens as well as our handraised pet sheep who love a pat. We've provided food for you to feed them if you choose. With access to most of the property along mowed paths for easy walking, you'll enjoy amazing views from the stringy bark and gum forests. And the pure smell of nature is amazing. Guest access Your accommodation area is fully fenced for you to spread out, relax and enjoy. You have access to most of the property (apart from the main house gardens and sheep yard). Other things to note We have quite poor phone coverage. Sometimes standing in a certain spot will give you a couple of bars of signal, so you'll be able to send messages and emails. Sorry, there is no TV but you can watch DVD's from our mixed collection.
