Country Experience at Dug Out Hideaway

The Dug Out Hideaway is on 10 acres in the country, on the side of a mesa. We have hiking trails through a cedar forest. Wildlife such as deer, fox, racoons, and coyotes could be seen at the feeder near the house. Clear beautiful night sky. Spectacular view overlooking Abilene and countryside. Waterfall on back patio with a view of the mountainside. Large fort for kids to play in. The space The 2000 sq.ft. 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house features an open dining room, full kitchen and living room. The kitchen bar seats 8 and the table seats 4. The master bedroom has a king size bed with futon that folds out to queen size. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed. The Twin bedroom has 2 twin size beds. Living room has both couch and love seat that folds down into a double and twin bed. A couch in the dining area also folds down into a queen size bed. If everyone doubles up in the king and queen size beds the house can sleep 11, but only 10 are allowed to stay overnight. We have a propane grill on the back patio and a mesquite log grill at the fire pit to cook those mouthwatering steaks. Fiber optic WiFi with a smart TV that has all the available TV apps. Just use your own login. Living room has worry free electric fireplace with heater. Air mattress is available for an extra $10 per night. Guests can hike on all trails around the house. For those of you that need to check in at work, we have a small desk in master bedroom. Guest access The property is not completely fenced in. The south property boundary is at the base of the limestone wall on top of the mountain. We cannot go to the top of the mountain, but very close to it. The Guidebook has the property boundaries shown. The property is not wheelchair accessible. Please don’t book if wheelchairs are necessary. Other things to note HVAC ducts have “Reme-Halo” system that kills viruses, mold, & bacteria. We want your stay safe and sleep in a clean air environment. Two SkeeterVac helps control mosquitoes, flies, and noseeums for an enjoyable outdoor experience.
