Spacious summer retreat with POOL in downtown Ojai

Enjoy our relaxing and spacious home for the summer. Spend the hot afternoons in the pool and in the large, shaded outdoor living space. The large backyard and front yard are lush with plants, fruit trees, and curiosities to explore and plenty of room to run around. Our home is on a quiet street and backs up to a 2 acre empty, wooded lot. Downtown Ojai is just a half mile away. Available from June 12 to July 23. Extended dates possible. 31 day min. stay, per city code. The space --- Bedroom #1: Bedroom #1 can be set up as either a master bedroom suite (including the office and South bathroom), or can be used as a den/2nd living room. Just let us know how you'd like it set up. --- Children's items We will pack up all of our personal effects while we're away, but can leave out children's items (books, toys, bikes, scooters) if you'd like. We can discuss which items you'd like out. There is a swing set and a sandbox in the backyard. --- Pool Pool will be serviced once a week to clean and maintain chlorine, pH, etc. For the most thorough cleaning, you may need to uncover the pool for our pool guy. The pool is heated by solar hot water panels on the roof. To control the temperature of the water, you can set the system to use the solar panels or not. We like to keep the pool at 90 degrees (extremely relaxing!) which is easy to maintain if you keep the pool covered when you're not using it and you use the solar hot water system. You might prefer a cooler temperature, though. Hot tub will be clean and with proper chemical levels upon your arrival. However, it will not be heated, so as not to waste energy. We will provide instructions on how to turn it on if you'd like to use it during your stay. Once on, it takes about 6 hours to heat up. You will need to maintain the chemical levels (chlorine and pH) yourself, but we will leave instructions and material. It's pretty easy. --- Backyard We do not water the yard, so the green grass you see in the pictures will likely be brown for your stay. The trees and bushes are irrigated automatically. They will stay green and there should be some fruits ready for your enjoyment! Guest access Two driveways provide parking for several cars and there is ample street parking as well. Downtown Ojai and Sarzotti Park are both about a 1/2 mile from the house. Sunday Farmer's Market is a bit closer than that. The Shelf Road trailhead is one mile from the house.
