Located on the prestigious South Shore Drive on the Southside of Holland, you will have an assortment of activities at your fingertips. There is something for everyone. South Shore Cottage is the perfect retreat to explore all our beautiful community has to offer along with decadent Lake Macatawa views. The space Come stay in this fresh and clean lakeside dutch cottage nestled along Lake Macatawa. Sit on the enclosed porch and listen to the sounds of the lake or people watch strolling down South Shore. Fill up your growler from one of our many Holland breweries and enjoy a blissful day out on the porch. Truly a wonderful retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a respite! Inside Shore Side Cottage, you'll find a charming 1920s cottage retreat to relax at the end of the day. The main room is an open living, dining, and kitchen area. The living area is the most spacious with a surround of bay windows, flat-screen TV with basic cable, and a new queen sofa sleeper for extra sleeping space. The dining space has a large table that seats six to eight people. You also have the option to head out to the deck where you can dine together overlooking the yard and firepit. The kitchen is tidy and offers the basics you'd need for an easy meal at home. Guest access The main house. There is no access allowed to the attic, basement, crawlspace, shed, or utility closet in the laundry room. Other things to note **PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS LISTING IN IT'S ENTIRETY INCLUDING OUR HOUSE RULES AND AMENITIES.** We pride ourselves on being very transparent about our procedures and expectations on our cottage. We strictly enforce our check-in/check-out, pet procedures and fees. We have noted that this property is on a main road and there may be noise from vehicles and people outside. We can assist if it a neighbor causing discomfort during your stay, but not from vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians with pets. If an amenity is not listed, please reach out to us directly to confirm whether or not it is available or assume it is not available. We will strive our best to make your stay comfortable if it's an amenity we can readily provide (mattress pad, different type of pillow, cookware, etc.), but there are some that we cannot (i.e. dishwasher, pool, bikes, etc.). This cottage is one of the oldest homes along South Shore originally built in the late 1920s, it has been lovingly maintained and updated. Things to consider about the house are the dutch colonial architectural details such as the steep staircase and the dutch gable roofline in the second story may prove to be difficult for taller guests. We are in the process of updating the windows at the house, there are still a few that have not been updated yet and there is natural shifting in the foundation in the kitchen area, it is not normal on the day to day basis. The bathroom has just been updated and we are still waiting for additional siding to arrive to finish the exterior aesthetic (12-18 weeks custom order for the siding to match the color), again it should not affect any aspect of your stay.
