Nestled in the North York Moors National Park, sits Charltons Village, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and in it, just a quick walk from the Cleveland Way and a short drive from beautiful coastal towns, you will find our lovely holiday home, Sunnyside Cottage. Sleeping up to 4 guests, it is ideal for those looking for a peaceful break. With a spacious living room, separate dining room, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and private outdoor area, Sunnyside Cottage is the perfect base to use for exploring. The space We hope that as soon as you step inside Sunnyside Cottage, you will feel right at home. We have recently fully refurbished the whole of the large two bedroom terraced property, and have tried hard to decorate and furnish it to a high standard throughout, to really do this spacious cottage proud! We think it is the perfect space for couples, business travellers, and families alike, looking for a getaway. The property heating is fuelled by the multi-fuel stove, so when that is lit it will heat the radiators throughout the house very nicely. We have also installed electric towel rails in each bathroom, an electric radiator in the dining room, electric showers, and an electric boost system for hot water without the stove! PARKING Free street parking is available. We ask that guests bring no more than 2 cars, out of fairness to the residents. There are houses on just one side of the street and so even though spaces aren’t reserved, parking is usually readily available as there are spaces on each side of the road. LIVING ROOM The living room is flooded with light. Featuring two tan leather sofas and a multi-fuel stove, you can put your feet up and enjoy your favourite shows in a really cosy atmosphere. It is this stove that is the real heart of the cottage! It fuels the heating system and keeps the place lovely and cosy. DINING ROOM Head to the dining room and you’ll find a comfortable dining area with seating for four. With countryside themed artwork and plants for décor, this space is friendly and welcoming. KITCHEN The galley kitchen has tasteful, traditionally styled cream cupboards and light beige walls. Fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, you can enjoy home cooked meals during your self-catering stay. We have tried to provide good quality pots, pans and cooking utensils to make your cooking experience pleasurable. BEDROOM The house has two bedrooms; a spacious master bedroom, featuring a fantastically comfortable super king bed, with a gel-topped mattress. The second bedroom is a twin room with luxury orthopaedic mattresses. Each bed is dressed in luxury bedding and linens so you can enjoy a restful night's sleep. With hanging rails and drawers for storage, both rooms are suitable for weekends away or longer stays. The master bedroom also boasts beautiful views of the North York Moors National Park. BATHROOM You will find two bathrooms at Sunnyside Cottage so you can choose between a bath or a shower during your stay, with a bathroom conveniently on both the ground and first floor. The showers are electric in both bathrooms. BACKYARD Outside to the rear is an enclosed private yard with a table and chairs. Ideal for enjoying a sunny day, dining alfresco and making a relaxing end to a day of exploring your surroundings, this space is a real added bonus! Guest access Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Sunnyside Cottage are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Free on-street parking is available around Charltons on a first come, first served basis.
