Enjoy a spacious private campsite in an Appalachian oasis of fresh air and green. Located on a quiet farm in the beautiful southern Ohio forest it’s the perfect spot to get away for a night (or 3). This campsite is our largest and has a nice flat area to pitch your tent. There is a fire-pit with firewood provided, an outdoor 5 gallon camping shower and an outdoor table and chairs. Many birds to listen to during the day and stars in the sky at night. Please see our hundreds of 5 star reviews. The space Our campsites are secluded, quiet, and dark, dark, dark. We are at the dividing point between rural Ohio and wild Ohio in lovely rolling hills. The property is hilly mature forest and lowlands with lots of trees and critters. There are 3 campsites located on 16 acres so everyone has plenty of space. Conveniently located - minutes from the largest state park in Ohio (Zaleski - horseback riding, swimming, boating, 25 miles of hiking trails, cool historical sites). Yet Athens Ohio and Ohio University are 10-12 miles away too, with 3 craft breweries, a couple of wineries, and amazing live music nightly. Fire is private with stars! The frogs and owls are deafening, but not the road or skies. Guest access Each campsite has it's own area with a fire pit, firewood, table and chairs and hanging shower bag. In addition, there are walking trails and a creek to explore on the property. Please respect the privacy of the other guests. Other things to note This is primitive camping on a beautiful private campsite. There is no electricity, no plumbing, and no flush toilet. Most cell phones do work though. There are several walking trails on the land. You must wear shoes, even in the creeks. To receive the 10% discount for veterans, just let us know when you book and we will adjust the price.
