Riff Cottage is a traditional farm cottage which is fully equipped, warm and comfortable. Located in the countryside with outstanding sea views, it is a great location for exploring Orkney. Riff cottage is family-friendly with plenty of room to explore, with picnic areas and private seafront walks /beach-combing on site. Free Wi-Fi is available. We have Shetland ponies, chickens and ducks on site and there is diverse range of wildlife, from birds of prey to otters and the occasional dolphin! The space The Riff cottage sleeps up to 5 in two double and one single bedrooms. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring Orkney and is only a 20-minute drive from the main archaeological sites of Skara Brae, Maes Howe, Standing Stones of Stenness, Ness of Brodgar. We will provide you with a welcome pack on arrival. You will have your own parking area and enclosed garden. Riff Cottage key features include: - Comfortable sitting room which is light and airy in summer and yet cosy and warm in the winter. For your entertainment, there is a widescreen Digital TV with DVD. - Kitchen with separate dining area, well equipped with modern appliances. Includes fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven, electric mixer, coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine. - The family bathroom is a bright functional room with shower over bath and plenty of room for storing toiletries. - Enclosed large garden area, with separate barbeque and seating area. Separate drying area. - There is a large selection of DVDs, Orkney books and local information. Binoculars, maps and guides are also available. Guest access The keys will be provided in the key safe on your arrival and if we are unavailable when you arrive, we will let you settle in and then check later that day that you have everything you need! We will be available for any queries during your stay, however will let you enjoy your holiday in Orkney! You will have full access to the Riff Cottage and private garden. There is communal picnic area and coastal areas to walk. Other things to note In peak season, we offer Saturday to Saturday lets, however during November to March we do offer flexible entry days and shorter lets.
