We professionally treat for bugs and pests but sometimes seasonally they still make an appearance. Some parts of the house are warmer or cooler depending on the time of year. A space heater is provided for the basement for use in colder months. The basement floors can get pretty cold, so we suggest packing your slippers. The wood stove in the lounge can put out a lot of heat. Instructions for how to use the wood stove are provided in the house. Our water heater is 50 gallons, which can typically supply enough water for maybe a handful of people to take a shower within an hour. If you have a larger group, plan to stagger showers to allow time for the hot water to replenish. Keep in mind that other hot water usage like laundry or dishes will also dip into the supply of hot water if you are trying to do it all at once. If you are using the futons or the fold-out sleeper chair as beds, please use the provided bedding. *To convert the chair in the bunk room to a bed, unzip the zippers and pull out the legs until they snap in place. Unfold sections of the chair until it lays flat like a twin bed, add the mattress topper, pillow top pad, and sheets and you are all set! *To convert the futons to beds, roll to desired location first by leaning the futon onto the wheels and rolling into place. Then lift up the wooden slats in the back until they release. Lay down the backrest and the supports should slide into place. Add sheets and blanket and you have your bed! The ping-pong table is not full-sized. It is a mid-sized table to better fit the space. We hope you still enjoy it! The shed and barn have not yet been set up for guests. Please refrain from using those areas at this time.
